George RR Martin, his fanboys, and former fanbase

Seems like a bit of an oddball but not the worst kind of cow all things told. As far as Game of Thrones cows are concerned I'm sure that it's hard for a lot of them to emerge from the shadow of GRRM's humongous gunt.

Speaking of that r/ASOIAF reddit janny, what's the reddit community for ASOIAF like? I'm sure it's probably super autistic (a given for reddit) but is there anything uniquely spergy about it?
I’m not so sure but I found a subreddit mocking them when I was looking into archives of iswintercoming.com. https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiafcirclejerk

So George Martin got covid at the San Diego Comic Con and will miss the premiere of his new show (archive).

Archive of the youtube comment section.

He was trying to stay away from covid and hasn't made much progress despite not leaving his house. He also mentioned that he was supposed to have a severed head, but they didn't go with it. They also had a George Bush head at one point but they cucked out apparently.

I'm also going to crosspost an archive from The Dragon Demands thread. It's one of the videos that he elected NOT to purge recently which discusses Arya Stark's age in her sex scene from GoT.

I am interested in House of the Dragon, though I have little hope for it. Out of all of the works GRRM has hacked, I think Fire and Blood is the best, as it actually presents an interesting commentary in it's deconstruction of the Silmarillion: rather than being an accurate historical recounting, it's a very biased piece of work that does damage control for the Blacks and Anti-Dragon factions in Westeros. It tells an interesting story on multiple layers, and has some cynical commentary that mean something more than just having sex and shitting in the woods.

If you are confused by this line, you've probably never had sex without a condom on.

This video speculates how much Martin has written so far, the guy makes a compelling case.

Preston Jacobs is my favorite GRRM tard. I'm convinced Georgie hasn't finished WoW because he's waiting for Preston to finish up the plot for him. Fuck sakes, he's already writing a fan version of it from multiple authors.

Now we are talking about crazy fans, Jacobs is very harmless compared to Dragon Demands or whatever's his name. Jacobs is insane and makes us all ASOIAF fans look equally nuts, but he's aware he's eccentric and he doesn't mind. Besides, eccentricity isn't necessarily a sign of malice. The other one is very entitled, rude, and I am sure Martin himself would hate him, while he could find Preston entertaining at least.

For what I remember, World of Ice and Fire isn't different. It's meant to be written by a Septon as a gift for Joffrey Tommen, so it has some subtle Lannister propaganda in it, or rather the Septon was very careful to not write it in a way that could make Tywin mad.

I haven't yet read HotD, though.

Hasn't Preston Jacobs gone on rants over Linda because she upsets his SJW sensibilities? I used to think his videos were entertaining just for how fucking out there and over analyzed everything got, but once he started doing podcasts/livestreams he got a little too spergy and faggy for my tastes.

Is Jacobs considered a "fanboy" anymore? He seemed pretty annoyed with George and HBO last time I paid attention.
