Also, I don't think of his downfall as being a DNC hit job given that Brietbart himself was heavily involved in bringing him down. To the point that some have speculated that Brietbart himself might have been axed by the Clintons as payback for bringing down Weiner since the Clintons had big plans for him that he ruined.

That actually does gel with what I've seen, and looking back on it, there's a lot of hat you said that makes a lot of sense, given how his career went. If the whole thing was being initiated by Hillary's team - something that a lot of the background chatter at the time suggests, that perfectly coincides. It also explains why there'd be such a draw to the takedown on him if he was tied to the Clintons.

Can confirm. Knew a guy who got laid off from his job as a database programmer, and was then immediately hired back on as a contractor making more money with better hours. Turns out a guy who has been writing code since the 70's cannot be replaced by H-1Bs and trannies in programmer socks. Decades of non-investment and under-investment in American talent has utterly fucked corporations, and if it wasn't for the fact there's going to be nasty repercussions for the rest of us from their hard fall I'd be laughing at it without a care. Not that I won't be laughing, but it will be to help kill my own pain through schadenfreude.

Shit happened to my mom. Decades of experience but no college degree made her unhireable in HR departments. So she became a real estate agent where her people skills have enabled her to make more money than she ever did in HR. Someone's getting the last laugh and it sure as fuck isn't the people who declined to hire her.

Those diversity hires became useless, that overqualified guy jumped ship to make more money elsewhere and now HR refuses to budge.

They are loath to admit they need white guys to fill these key roles because they just took a seminar on white privilege and think it’s unfair that Shitavious can’t program COBOL to maintain infrastructure so in desperation they hire back Dave the retired programmer they fucked over on promotions because he was white and he will work for nothing less than $400 an hour and he sets his own hours.

It’s chickens coming home to roost. I’d love it more if anyone actually learned any lessons. They won’t so here we are. Anyone who has actual skills and not just diversity hires is worth their weight in gold as consultants.

I am in this position. You would think I would be under pressure to train someone in case I keel over, but no. You're thinking of Joe Crowley, not Weiner. Crowley was Pelosi's heir apparent and his downfall was being primaried by AOC and subsequently exiting politics. Weiner, as far as I know, has zero ties to Pelosi beyond working with her as the party leader during his one and only term in the House.

As I said earlier in the thread, expecting companies to invest in training the average employee cuts into their immediate profits so they will never do that until they have no other option. Right now they think they can import people from anywhere else in the world for cheaper so they still have an option.

Theres only two malls in town. One got so blacked its mostly deserted its now a covid testing site and a cop car park with two department stores. The other mall has nosedived the last two years. Was even a fucking shooting a few months ago. The fuckin smell.
