I don't see any connection between Chris having sex with Barb and sexual attraction of any kind. Barb is more of an object to him like his waifu pillows than she is a galpal. He used her and knew it was wrong and did it anyway. That isn't just overactive libido. He was exercising power over her. if it was just horniness, it would have happened much earlier, not when Barb is losing the ability to tell him no.

Or maybe Heilberg was working on a plea deal and upgrading his misdemeanor to a felony is what was offered - Chris might walk in exchange for having to register as a felon and sex offender.
