My biggest issues with climate change, which I do acknowledge is a real problem, is that those who sperg about it the most keep making dramatic, Harold Camping-esque predictions that never come true.
They also get pissy and denounce you as a heretic when you propose actions that they don't like. For example:
They reject these out-of-hand because they don't fit their preconceived social engineering agenda. Which just proves that it's not about the earth.
- Hold China and India to the same environmental standards as the West
- Plant more trees to capture carbon
- Nuclear power
- Pointing out the contribution of urban heat islands to global warming
- Point out that the Green New Deal is counterproductive, as it requires fossil fuels to procure non-recyclable and often toxic materials to implement sources such as solar and wind
- Asking why the likes of John Kerry, Al Gore, and Barack Obama are allowed to lecture us on climate while living in beachfront mansions, flying around in private jets, and holding shares in oil companies.
I don't believe that burning coal in China is somehow "greener" than burning it here, makes me a conspiracy theorist I guess.
