Ana Mardoll solicited money from you under false pretenses, for years. Ana Mardoll is rich. Ana Mardoll is a 1%-er making well into the six figures for working 10 hours a week. Ana Mardoll also has a nice little side hustle of self-publishing shitty books and doing whatever the fuck else for extra income. Ana Mardoll's father, and extended family, are in executive level positions at Lockheed Martin and may have net worths of millions of dollars each. We're talking about the trust fundiest of trust fund kids here, people. She should have been contributing to all of YOUR GoFundMes. She should've used her "platform" to share YOUR sob stories and get YOU more donations for your relatively more legitimate needs, not grifting for herself.

Also, the whole "I needed this job for health insurance" thing -- do you realize that rich people can just buy their own health insurance? Like most rich people, she's cheap, but she certainly doesn't need this specific job. As it's been mentioned before, getting another part-time WFH tech job as a software engineer with a decent work history is not that difficult. She's not a SAHM desperately sifting through Craigslist scams. She's probably contacted by recruiters all the time. Come on! Blow the lid off this one! Do it for your "fam"!

The thing is, the majority (probably the large majority) of the people who participated in the Ana Mardoll "cancellation" were just doing it out of amusement that a wokescold ended up working for the military industrial complex. Same reason most of us are here: to make fun of idiots who deserve it. But these people cannot admit that some things are just funny or amusing, and it's okay to make fun of people who are assholes sometimes. They are too moral and enlightened for that! So every twitter pileon they indulge in (or don't indulge in) must be morally justified and there must be a Super Serious motivation behind it.

Same reason they can never leave dumb pop culture alone, or maintain relationships with people who disagree with them. Everything they do MUST have the exact correct politics behind it, because they can't admit that they're humans who sometimes like dumb or meaningless shit.

She'll be back, and the counterattack will be real simple: shout KIWI FARRRRRRRRRRRMS as loud and long as possible.

As regards the overall fallout, many very vociferous people whose tiny and predominantly online worldviews center genderspeciality are rallying around Mardoll, since to them Kiwi Farms is like a marvel-movie villain and/or "nazi" site that's far more sinister than Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin is something they neither care about nor understand.

At the same time, the spectacle of people with BLM and Antifa in their twitter bios using identity politics to defend someone working for Lockheed Martin has rippled outwards into more broadly left twitter, to spheres where people have class analysis, anti-imperialist politics, a rudimentary grasp of what Lockheed Martin is & does, etc... and that much larger world is absolutely disgusted and horrified.

Browsing tumblr (which is having a smaller but similar outpouring of glee at Ana's hypocrisy being revealed) lead me to Ana's old feelings on Harry Potter:



There's a lot of similar gold to be found in Ana's older blog output, though (much like her twitter strategy) it's all buried under an obscene wordcount. Her "deconstruction" of the Little Mermaid clocks in 4,500 goddamn words. But it contains one of my favorite Ana moments of all time:


She projected the otherkin thing onto Twilight too.


And also girls 'n gore exploitation manga Claymore, which is so counter to her aesthetic and ethos it stands out as bizarre.
