Saw this one coming a mile away:
If you, a normal man or woman, work for a "problematic" company, that's because you are a BAD person.
If I, a transsexual, work for the same company, that's because I'm disabled and I cannot survive otherwise.

Funny how none of these White Knights are defending the fact that she pretended to be poor and handicapped to scam money from people.....
She'll be back, and the counterattack will be real simple: shout KIWI FARRRRRRRRRRRMS as loud and long as possible.
The thread in Community Watch is pretty good, particularly regarding the blog's terminal phase:Semi-related, but does anyone know the story behind Shakesville?
Looking forward to reading this. Screen-capture attached as a massive PNG.Can someone get a screen grab of the whole article?
There's something heartwarming about how the long defunct Shakesville Kool-Aid blog has updated to make note of Ana's employer.
Shakesville was a feminist blog that got really culty and really into using convoluted pseudo-moralizing to keep people on edge and donating. I don't know too much about it, but I do remember that the founder was caught lying about being medically incapable of sweating in order to crowdfund for a new AC. At one point, several counter-communities were formed so that former readers could ask each other for sanity checks and laugh at the absurdity of it all. This lead to much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Ana helpfully collected some of the best bits on her own blog, crying all the while. Literally crying, as in posting a (sadly lost) sobbing,Vocaroo directed to the Kool-Aid mods. At least a transcript remains. Imagine it read in a high pitched saccharine kindergarten teacher voice punctuated by boohooing and snot snorting.
Browsing tumblr (which is having a smaller but similar outpouring of glee at Ana's hypocrisy being revealed) lead me to Ana's old feelings on Harry Potter:

There's a lot of similar gold to be found in Ana's older blog output, though (much like her twitter strategy) it's all buried under an obscene wordcount. Her "deconstruction" of the Little Mermaid clocks in 4,500 goddamn words. But it contains one of my favorite Ana moments of all time:

She projected the otherkin thing onto Twilight too.

And also girls 'n gore exploitation manga Claymore, which is so counter to her aesthetic and ethos it stands out as bizarre.

It was important enough to mention in her blog rules, even, though she never shared what kind of non-human creature she thought was the true shape of her soul. (I bet it was a dragon. It's always a dragon.) She very quietly dropped the otherkin thing somewhere along the way, though I'm pretty sure at one point she mentioned it as evidence of unrecognized gender dysphoria that made her think she was a vampiremermaid in a human body.

No shade to the Shakesville Kool-Aid peeps, but anyone who has ever taken anything Ana Mardoll has to say seriously should be deeply ashamed of themselves.
Since they decided it was our fault (never mind this info has been here for years waiting for when they found it convenient) I have been searching and oh boy the whole LM and Ana discourse is really pulling some Takesabout us on the twitter sphere
