That is a interesting collab. Kurumi on her graduation tour collaborating with a recent PC debut, I wonder if she did collabs with Remi's PL, or if Fishman is using Remi to bird dog a potential hire. She is one to watch with her announcing her graduation within days of Tsunderia closing auditions, plus many other companies speculated to be loading up for new generations debuts within the next couple of months.

I generally find a lot of the vampiric aversion to the mere mention of China here to be hilarious, but it's another thing entirely when unsupported statements are taken as a universal fact without any inquisition.

I'll agree with your post for the most part beyond this, honestly. It's hard to put down the grudge against the Chinese when the spammers are still maintaining such an active presence towards Fubuki and actively target her collab streams. It's a reminder of what Kson had to go through when she was still Coco, and even she still suffers from her Chinese antis getting in her way till this date even after graduation.
Not many people are a fan at all of Kson joining Vshojo, but I'm glad that Vshojo at least doesn't give a fuck about the goddamn chinks.

So looking at Holostars EN, I'm actually quite disapointed with who they picked. I'll admit some of that comes from my saltiness I wasn't picked. But I could get over that if the EN boys were entertaining. However they did the thing they did with Mori which made me dislike her too. They got completely the wrong voice for the characters. It's a complete disconnect. Mori's roommate wants to be a wigger rapper E-Celeb but Mori is a Gothic reaper. So she says ebonics with her goth Vtuber which just throws me off. I don't really want generic American voices talking about dick and fart jokes. I don't know the personalities of the room mates and I don't care to to be honest. I tire of rrats and drama bs. I just want to enjoy quality entertainers doing their best. I hope they improve soon because right now they have nice models but boring personalities.

Rabbit mentioned on stream when asked if she could tell chat anything about Gen2 after the debut announcement, she said that due to them being very close nit (running in a pack) she was kind of intimidated by them and that she had really only gotten to know one of Gen2 and said she was a Klutz, which just screams Airi to me. That collab would likely hit like a rabbit/sheep collab but with a 5 lb bag of airhead for spice.

So looking at Holostars EN, I'm actually quite disapointed with who they picked. I'll admit some of that comes from my saltiness I wasn't picked. But I could get over that if the EN boys were entertaining. However they did the thing they did with Mori which made me dislike her too. They got completely the wrong voice for the characters. It's a complete disconnect. Mori's roommate wants to be a wigger rapper E-Celeb but Mori is a Gothic reaper. So she says ebonics with her goth Vtuber which just throws me off. There is a difference between strongly opposing or even hating the actions of Chinese antis in the Coco situation, as well as China's political structure that bred it, without considering the tertiary involvement of anything remotely Chinese in any scenario to be like some kind of bogeyman.

It goes without saying that some kind of risk is always there, of course. It's entirely possible that AnyColor can have some kind of political conflict with China. It's also possible that Taiwanese companies may pull out of a project if a V-Tuber says that they don't recognise Taiwan as an independent nation and bred Taiwanese antis.

This particular shark is extremely cute. How does she do it? I also just really enjoy watching Kaela silent laugh. It's a great unique trait she has and I'm glad her tracking picks it up perfectly. Zeta is still my favorite from ID3, but Kaela is pretty great in her own right.

Their interactions are cute and they have some great chemistry, I can see why Kaela is getting more popular since I think she started pretty weak (I brushed her off at first, and I have seen other people saying the same).

Karen is weird in general as she's undeniably part wigger, part goth and she also has very girly elements from people who met her irl. Speaking of Taiwan, any thoughts on Pelosi's big trip today? It's kind of funny (in a dark way) to me personally. I started lurking here at the time of Coco's graduation. I finally started posting during the chaos surrounding Rushia's termination ( still kicking myself for now doing a "Terminator" joke at the time because of Cover's phrasing) which occurred on the same day as the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Then I stopped posting for a few months, but I got the time/urge to post again during Sana's graduation, which happened just when it looks like war could break out between the US and China. Must be something about this time of year.

A good place to discuss the politics and current events of China/the CCP is our Chinese Communist Party Megathread, so I'll just post a short reply here: I think the odds are that Pelosi will stick to the official agenda and not visit Taiwan (edit: lol), but if she does, Beijing will rattle sabers like they always do and then do nothing.

And to be clear behind the intention of my post since it seems to be being misunderstood, it was more about marveling that PC would so openly collaborate with a Taiwanese company than denigrating the Chinese (or Taiwanese). Maybe PC has no Chinese audience to speak of and that's why they had no fear in doing this. And I had another thought last night after posting that - we were marveling about how this seems to be a step ahead of what we've seen the Big Two be able to do technology-wise. Well, maybe Wonders.ai tried to take this tech to them but both of them balked at the idea of rocking the boat (again, in Cover's case) with their Chinese audiences, but PC had no such concerns, and now we have Pippa hugging fans in a Vancouver anime convention.
