Chris was always egotistical and selfish, but it never went to this extent in the past. He'd always get curbed. Something happened around the time of the idea guys to harden Chris and make him a totally horrible person. Or maybe when Bob died. It's like he evolved from a garden variety narcissist to one crossed with psychopathy. Chris has no redeeming features left.

My theory is he’s been deteriorating mentally since high school since he doesn’t hang around and socialise with peers on a daily basis anymore and the delusions are a coping mechanism for death starting with Patty being transported to CWCville and with his dad dying he’s doubled down since he’s now facing the mortality of his mother and likely got himself thinking about his own mortality so with his wish fulfilment he’s suddenly become an immortal who never ages.
My theory is that Chris is going to rot in jail the rest of his life and Barb will be reasonably taken care of relatives that really don't have a choice.

I think he’s going to be out fairly soon, we’ll get some entertainment and he’ll be back in jail before the month is out.

Things are going to get really interesting for Chris in the next 5 years once his body starts to deteriorate after decades of abuse due to sugary, high fat foods, and overall lethargy. I'm still astounded that he didn't have a heart attack heart or complications when he was in his mid 30s, like Bob. If Chris is to be believed, the only major health concern were his kidney stones that he passed.
And back in the "Classic Chris days", he was already on Lipitor (as revealed in the "Father Call" IIRC).

I assume Chris may have missed a dose or two: he's not the type to follow directions well. Chris was at an early age to need Lipitor, but buying McDonalds all day because Barb stopped cooking (and Chris didn't want to learn to cook) was pretty obvious.
