Brazilian govt authorizes deadly use of force amidst surge of motorcycle robberies

Feel good movie of the year.

Any time I see people exit their vehicles to roadrage, bro I'm just going to hit you and/or fold your car door backwards as a warning. It's why I find it hilarious when M/C riders constantly get belligerent even though they are a sneeze from losing half their skin (I ride as well, but I'm not a retard and I realize I'm the odd man out on the road and don't act like an asshat to other drivers).

@lurking for the deets They should just put her down at this point, I can't see how someone could ever recover from a state like this and at best she'd end up like a vegetable since I'd wager most of the top of her brain would have to be removed to avoid further infections and parasitic infestations, horrible way to go.

It almost reminds me of a story about a homeless woman in a city that I used to live in that had some extreme drug withdraws and developed schizophrenia like symptoms and would shove maggots into her veins, she had to be admitted to a hospital multiple times and later got permanently institutionalized.

Do not look up Myiasis on google with safe search turned off.

And like @Brain Power said, it's common in Brazil, The Bahamas and other countries with tropical climate zones with poor levels of sanitation and homelessness problems and can be seen in some random yuppies that decide to travel without taking proper precautions, luckly if you take care of yourself and see the initial signs it can be treated rather easily.
Saw it in a patient with yaws on a volunteer work trip. Yaws eats away facial bone, there were larvae up through the sinus into the frontal lobe. (she survived)

There used to be a video of a man with nearly the same level of infection- very old video, maybe from early ogrish or rotten. He's talking normally as maggots crawl around on the meninges. I don't save these videos often, wish I'd saved it though.

My first reaction was to hear Gordon Solie inside my head proclaim "He's wearing the crimson mask!" like at an old time wrestling broadcast.

Goddamn how old are you? I'm 31 and Gordon solie was before my time even lol

I'm not sure what success looks like here?

man has seizure and falls into boiling pot

Madurai: In Madurai, a person died tragically after falling into a pot of boiled pulp to be served to devotees for the temple festival.

Muthumariamman Temple is located in Palanganantham area of Madurai. The temple festival committee planned to brew pulp and distribute it to the devotees on Good Friday in this temple on 29th. For this, the pulp was brewed in 6 wide vessels in front of the temple that evening. Muthukumaran (52) and other members of the temple festival committee were monitoring this work.

In this case, the pulp was boiling in all the 6 vessels. Then Muthukumaran, who was nearby, unexpectedly stumbled and fell into a vessel. He struggled to get out of the pot of boiling pulp. Bystanders tried to rescue him. Even they could not go near it because it was already boiling pulp.

At one point he was rescued by knocking over the pot with boiling gruel on the stove. However, he was taken to hospital with burns on his body parts including his stomach. However, it turned out that he died tragically on the way.

In the complaint filed by his wife at the Subramaniapuram police station about the incident, she said, "Muthikumaran was already suffering from epilepsy and when he went near the pot of boiling pulp, he had a seizure and fell inside."

The police say that they are investigating the matter. Meanwhile, the video of Muthukumaran falling and dying in the boiling pulp while boiling pulp to offer to the devotees in the temple is currently going viral on social media. This incident has caused pity and shock to the onlookers.

Older then you, but Solie is still before my time too. But I am a nerd for the classics so I've seen a few old broadcasts featuring his calls.

Also, @Stan go make up more shit about KF's woes because seeing people die triggers you. 95% of Kiwis don't know this thread exists. The 4.5% who don't like it ignore it. That's how civilized discourse exists with even topics like this.

Cry moar on a thread that upsets you instead of just not viewing it. The lolcow inside you is beginning to stir.

What was the point in them crowding these ginormous beasts and doing all kinds of dumbass shit like honking their horns, screaming, and that one retard hitting the ground with a rag? Like are you all unaware that you look undeniably aggressive to the elephant?
Third Worlders aren't known for making good decisions

Africa my friend. Justice there is by kerosene and machete, not sword and scale.

A woman, by the name of Brianna Marie Grier, died from falling out of a patrol car

The video doesn't show her dying, but does show her dead body at 6:25

Sparta, GA – The GBI is investigating the death of a woman who died after a July 15 in-custody incident with Hancock County Sheriff’s Office deputies. On Thursday, July 21, 2022, at around 1:00 p.m., Brianna Marie Grier, age 28, of Sparta, was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Hancock County Sheriff Terrell Primus asked the GBI’s regional investigate office in Milledgeville to investigate on July 15 following the initial incident.

The early investigation indicates Hancock County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a home on Hickory Grove Church Road in Sparta. Grier was arrested at the home. While deputies were taking Grier to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Grier fell out of a patrol car and sustained significant injuries. She later died because of those injuries.
Agents have concluded that the rear passenger side door of the patrol car, near where Grier was sitting, was never closed.

Agents conducted numerous interviews, reviewed multiple body camera videos, and conducted exhaustive mechanical tests on the patrol car. Automotive experts and the Georgia State Patrol also assisted with tests to determine if there were possible mechanical malfunctions. In conjunction with these investigative acts, GBI agents concluded that Grier was placed in the backseat of the patrol car, handcuffed in the front of her body with no seatbelt.

The investigation also reveals that after Grier was arrested, two Hancock County deputies were attempting to put Grier in the patrol car. Both deputies and Grier were at the rear driver’s side door of the patrol car. Grier was on the ground refusing to get in the patrol car. Grier made a statement that she was going to harm herself. To put Grier in the patrol car, one of the deputies walked around and opened the rear passenger side door.

The deputy quickly returned to the rear driver’s side door. Both deputies put Grier in the backseat of the patrol car. The deputies closed the rear driver’s side door. The investigation shows that the deputy thought he closed the rear passenger side door.

The deputies left the scene and drove a short distance. Body camera footage reveals the deputies had no other contact with Grier from the time she was placed in the car until she fell out of the moving car.

Grier’s body will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.

The GBI investigation remains active and ongoing.

Robber died, justice served

Article: https://www.qhubomedellin.com/conte...herido-en-san-joaquin-y-murio-en-un-hospital/
An alleged thief died at the hands of who, apparently, was going to be his victim , who reacted with a weapon in western Medellin.

This event occurred after 4:30 in the afternoon on Saturday, July 23, on 42nd Street with Carrera 68A in the San Joaquín neighborhood .

At that time , the community reported to line 123 that they heard 5 shots . That is why a police patrol went to the site.

There they found a man, Afro-descendant and undocumented, wounded . He had 2 bullet wounds in the chest.

They then transferred him in the police car to the Polyclinic, where he died due to the seriousness of his injuries.

According to the authorities, it is an alleged thief, who, apparently, was going to commit an assault, but the victim would have reacted with a firearm.

With this case there are already 10 homicides that have occurred this year in commune 11 (Laureles-Estadio) . In Medellín, homicides already total 215 so far in 2022.

Robber doesn't die, but is seriously injured. His mate got caught as well.

In the morning hours of this Wednesday, an attempted robbery was presented in Carrera 13 with Calle 20 in the municipality of Granada, Meta.

The subject who was injured on the platform was transferred to the Granada Meta Departmental Hospital.

For his part, the alleged thief who managed to escape was captured in the Iracá Toll sector, which is located between the Granada San Martin road, Meta.

People really underestimate just how good shotguns are for defending against an attacker moving from an open space into an enclosed space you're currently occupying.
I've had niggros try to rob me, they all run like bitches when they see the shotgun. One guy was trying to break into my window, I pulled the curtain back, tapped on the glass and showed him my shotgun. He put his arms up and I could hear him say "my bad" and he ran like a bitch. Shotguns are better in a home defense than a pussy AR-15.

Since I have a pretty slim chance of getting a handgun permit here in Soviet Canuckistan, I am going to order one of these high-powered airguns that fire both heavy slugs that can pierce skin and shatter bones, but also 'pepperballs' which can fuck up almost anyone.

but why is he just a disembodied torso?
machete-
A machete (/məˈʃɛti/; Spanish pronunciation: [maˈtʃete]) is a broad blade used either as an agricultural implement similar to an axe, or in combat like a long-bladed knife.
Come on there's like dozens of examples of the "before" of this in this very thread.

Rifles > Shotguns

An AR would have fucked him up just the same
I don't really agree with that in all contexts. I think for just urban operations in general, something like a carbine is ideal, but I think for the specific context of defensive urban operations, the shotgun has some pretty major advantages. For one, it certainly has shorter target acquisition times as there's no real aiming per se. If someone is breaching in on you, you simply need to point at the breach point and fire whereas the fireteam which is breaching is going to need to identify your location upon entry before firing. Likewise, most nation's room clearing tactics advocate tight stacks entering in through a single breach point followed by moving to points of domination within the room. This means that if the defender is using a shotgun, there are fairly high odds that even one shell might actually kill or incapacitate multiple team members in the stack since they're basically on top of each other. Obviously, if the one and two man become casualties immediately upon entry, the odds of the three and four man getting hit are substantially higher since now they no longer have the element of surprise and they're going to have to push past the now dead/injured one and two man. This fact is actually one of the things which made shotguns so deadly in trench warfare during the first world war. Because you have tightly grouped targets, more than likely a single shot is going to score multiple hits and in that close of quarters, incapacitation is most likely going to result in death. Another thing to consider is the fact that most countries use some form of body armor now. An intermediate round like what you see in most armies is not going to reliably penetrate. While buckshot certainly won't penetrate either, if you point and fire center-mass, more than likely at least some of the shot is going to land in locations not protected by the plate. Namely, the neck and face, which will mostly be lethal, or the shoulders and arms which will be incapacitating.

More seriously,
In CQB target acquisition is going to be the same speed between the shotgun and rifle, it's a matter of mechanics. Technically speaking you should be faster with a short barreled AR, because it weighs less and it's weight is distributed closer to the magazine vs spread out like with a shotgun.

When it comes to me personally, I recommend pistols of your choice to most people. If you aren't going to train it or prepare for the house fight, a pistol is an easier weapon to wield in tight quarters.
