I keep hearing this argument, and I just don't think it's correct. Harvard is entitled to want more than IQ. IE: They want people with resonant personalities, ambition, people and leadership skills, creativity etc. It's true that blacks and hispanics on average have lower IQs and that excludes them from places that require high standardized test scores, but it's also true that Asians have more reserved, and less extrusive personality traits, on average. If Harvard is telling everyone that they are scoring low on the personality assessment, I kind of believe them, and they are allowed to exclude asians on this basis too. After all, all this exclusion is happening on the basis of average differences in genetic traits among populations, so why should asians get a pass? There are places like Virginia Tech and MIT that don't put as much an emphasis on personality assessment, and they are entitled to do that, too.
