A Supreme Court of Pennsylvania divided along partisan lines upheld the state’s 2019 mail-in voting law in a 5-2 decision on August 2, which means that current mail-in balloting rules will probably remain in place for the upcoming November 8 elections for Congress and for state offices such as governor.

The decision overturned a lower court ruling that had found the mail-in voting law ran afoul of the Pennsylvania Constitution.
All five Democratic justices supported the new ruling; both Republican justices dissented.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, hailed the ruling which he said “definitively asserts that mail-in voting is a legal and constitutional method for Pennsylvania voters.”
“Voting is a fundamental right—a right that we should ensure is accessible for all voters,” Wolf said in a statement.
“Mail-in voting is a safe, secure, and legal option for Pennsylvania voters to exercise that right. I will continue to advocate for voting reforms that remove barriers and increase access to voting.”
Mail-in voting in Pennsylvania has been questioned by former President Donald Trump and Pennsylvania Republicans who say it opens the door to voter fraud and chaos in the vote-counting process. According to official results, Trump beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in the state in 2016 but lost to Joe Biden in 2020. Some Republicans say election irregularities in Pennsylvania cost Trump the state in 2020.
The case goes back to 2019 when the Pennsylvania General Assembly passed Act 77, which, among other things, amended the state’s election code to create universal no-excuse mail-in voting statewide. Before the act, voters had to establish they fit the criteria of an absentee voter before being able to cast a ballot by mail. The legislation easily passed the state House of Representatives 138-61 and the state Senate 35-14.
When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived in Pennsylvania months later, voters, especially Democrats, took advantage of the law’s stay-at-home voting provisions. In the 2020 presidential election, Democrat Joe Biden beat Republican Donald Trump by more than 3-1 among mail-in ballots, while Trump prevailed over Biden by 2-1 in votes cast in person on Election Day, according to a summary in the new court opinion.
Two weeks after the election, Republican candidates filed a petition for review in the state’s Commonwealth Court seeking to halt the certification of the Nov. 3, 2020, General Election. They argued the Pennsylvania Constitution requires voters to vote in person on Election Day unless they qualified for absentee voting and asked the Commonwealth Court to block certification of the election results. That court preliminarily enjoined certification.
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania stepped in and found that the challengers had waited too long to bring their lawsuit and threw out the lower court’s injunction. The candidates then asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene, and it refused to do so. The case returned to Commonwealth Court which ruled 3-2 that the mail-in voting provision violated the state constitution.
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania heard oral arguments in the case on March 8 and issued its ruling August 2, reversing the lower court.

GG Trump 2024. Arizona and Wisconsin aren't enough, Georgia and Pennsylvania have locked in stealing elections, and Michigan has no signals of doing anything about it, and I don't see any other states flipping. I know I'm being doomer, but I really don't see the change I need to feel like a fair election can be had. Not quite GG. Keep in mind, Arizona -still- has this shit and it failed hard in the primary. It does mean that there will be a lot of reliance on the ground game of people watching the polling places like a hawk. As evidenced by Maricopa, that puts a mighty massive wrench in their works.

It's ridiculous how much of an electoral advantage the Democrats have, because they have the entire West Coast, Northeast and Illinois/Minnesota by default every election. Bush II barely had enough electoral votes in both 2000 and 2004, and Trump's margins were very slim in MI, PA and WI in 2016 too.

So, there was once this shit-hole Army post in West Germany. This place was called the "Most feared training area in the US military" due to how rough it was up there. Literally on top of a mountain. It was the second largest training area in Europe, so if you couldn't go to Graf, or you needed mountaineering training, or CS gas training, or just your CO hated your fucking guts, you went there. The units were ALL mission essential, with various fucking rules. Most of which boiled down to "LOL, you're fucked."
Now, the buildings there were from the Nazi Era. No shit, several of the buildings can be seen on old WW2 propaganda films. The ones that weren't, well, they were heavy duty cinderblock buildings built, as the military does, by the lowest bidder. Maintenance was laughable. The buildings were plagued with heating, electrical, and water issues.
This place had worse weather than Alaska. You could get your Arctic Survival tab up there.
The cinderblock buildings started suffering major issues. In the winter of 1987, between power losses, water heaters failing (it was steam radiator heated), and pipes icing up, units were having cold weather injuries INSIDE their barracks. Dudes were waking up dead. It was not uncommon to have ice INSIDE the building, on the hallways. One unit's females took to jimmying the dryer doors in the laundry room and sleeping in the laundry room.
The snow didn't melt until APRIL of 1988. At one point it was over 20 feet deep.
The summer of 1988, everyone began writing to their Congressmen and Senators and Governors. Sending photos of cracks in the walls, gaps between the windowframes and the walls, puddles of water inches thick around the massive water heaters.
Fall of 88, and it's already bad.

FL and Ohio aren't swing states anymore. MI, PA, AZ, and WI are.
Michigan is one DeSantis type from clearing the fraud in Detroit from being light red. AZ and PA might be one city machine takedown from being red as well (idk these so much, not as familiar).

Michigan has state laws protecting fraud. Specifically, if the total number votes recorded doesn't match the number of ballots in the lockbox during a recount, they're required by law to go with the original count. You'd need legislation to change this. Whitmer's a shoo-in for reelection - Michigan loves its state-level Democrats, because they LARP like it's 1975, and the state GOP is pretty fucking stupid.
