UUCP (and Usenet) weren't really that interesting. Honestly I had zero interest in anything on the internet probably until around 1997 or so when I realized there were a number of ftp sites carrying stuff from musicians I was into (i.e. people composing in ScreamTracker or ImpulseTracker) and demogroups I followed, but YMMV.

Genuinely one of the great things about WWIV was the availability of its source code (whether you paid to get it or someone slipped you a copy on the sly). I genuinely believe a lot of people cut their teeth learning C by modifying WWIV. Its kinda unfortunate that so little of both WWIVnet and FidoNet survive, but given the price of storage it's not entirely surprising.

Just depends on your interests, really. I was more interested in practical programming matters at the time, and usenet wasn't necessarily all that useful to me. People writing useful tutorials distributed via anon ftp sites (i.e. x2ftp.oulu.fi or your local simtel mirror) were.

Yeah, somehow FidoNet managed to attract all the right-leaning control freaks in the same way that mods/jannies today all end up being left-leaning control freaks. It's not particularly important, but I'm almost certain these were created on the site ArtBreeder for the following reasons:

1. You can upload custom images to ArtBreeder, which you can then modify with the neural network. This means you can upload a picture of a real person and digitally create "variations" of them.
2. These pictures all have the same grey background. It's basically impossible for totally random-generated portraits to have the same background. The neural network doesn't "pay attention" to the background since it's trained to create faces, not backdrops, so it simply spits out noisy gibberish. This means these pictures here are all either generated off the back of one image as a base, or are variations of eachother.
3. All these images look overly pretty, almost touched-up. The neural network ArtBreeder uses has a lot of non-photo portraits in its dataset, I.E. art and illustrations, which makes it notoriously tend towards very prettified, anime-esque output. Especially when making young women.

Since these gayops consistantly used very freely available resources like ArtBreeder, Wordpress, and social media profiles, I honestly believe Isabella did a lot of this singlehandedly. It fits her self-believed persona as some Technowizzerd H4CK3R supergenius of misdirection.

Edit: To clarify, generated.photos all have the same background, but that's because the background is excluded from their generated images and replaced with literally the exact same background.
These fake Isabella photos all have slightly different backgrounds, none of which are consistant with generated.photos.
