Ben Kuchera has been fired by Polygon, and had a complete breakdown over the whole thing. Apparently, his kids were being abused, Polygon has been accused of "covering it up", and Ben has since gone DFE. The most plausible theory being floated is that Ben discovered his kids were being abused by someone in the personal lives, and Polygon refused to give him the time required to deal with the situation, so he put them on blast. He's supposedly threatened a lawsuit over the dismissal, but who knows if that's legit.

If the abuse is actually a matter of someone within the industry having abused his kids, and Polygon has somehow acted to cover it up, that's just another case of "Reset The Clock."

And the people that push for this shit are not much different than them tbh. Just look and the general behaviour of the usual TRA activist or the people that defend men going to female changing rooms in thight clothes and getting a hard on that is clearly visible for everyone.
