So the latest Phil lore is that the Cannon brothers knew their rollback netcode was bad, but told Phil they had to ban him from the Shoryuken forums since they needed to make money and he was the only one that was telling it like it is. Major "homeless man at the bus shelter who thinks the government are stealing his thoughts" vibe from that stream.

If I had a nickel for every time phil was the only person being honest and trying to do the right thing in a story I could whale out enough to compete with him in WWE champions

Does DSP actually believe he's correct about rollback netcode when everyone else in the FGC says the opposite? Like he really thinks he knows better than the thousands of people who are still actively playing the games? How can he not see how absurd that is?

If the netcode/lag issues were solved, phil wouldn't have a built in excuse for everytime he loses a game. Phil needs netcode to suck otherwise it would mean he's the problem, not the connections. If everyone generally agrees rollback is the best and most fair option we have currently but phil is still sucking, obviously everyone else is wrong about rollback netcode. Phil needs to fight against the narrative that rollback is good because his ego needs all netcode to be bad.

While I agree that the mental image of him sashaying laps around a culdesac while swinging his noodles in an exaggerated fashion is funny, I doubt he is powerwalking outside. Dsp has a fukin terrible internet connection. When he moved in he was told that the router has to be placed to a certain place, cant be moved.
When he did the switch unboxing and setting up, he did a connection test and it said not good.
Last week he was playing multiverse and was lagging so hard, he said it was unplayable and you have to be insane to continue like this. All 3 players readyed up for another round. I guess they didnt lag.

Its really hard to tell when he is using lag as excuse or it does lag, but his connection is trash. Business internet not the most ideal for gaming.

I think he plays it up far more than it is really there, since it's so ingrained into him to find excuses. On top of that every game that has ever tracked the frame delay online must be lying too.

I think any connection issues at this point are more likely to do with his router being ancient and despite his propensity for flexing, he never claims to have had his internet package improved.

Even if the netcode was better than playing locally, he'd still be crying "lahg". If he can accuse an offline bot of abusing lag, he'd do it regardless of how it actually is.

Needs support for projects like this...I don't know why that line sticks out to me so much. I don't know if its the audacity to refer to the laziest form of content you can possibly produce as though its some sort of long term art piece with a vision behind it. Maybe its having him act as though the free to play game he is playing poorly, while not being even slightly entertaining is some arduous task that he requires payment for or else he can't keep doing it.
