I dont see the problem with hiring more IRS agents. While the idea of more tax agents is an inherently repulsive one, the IRS has just been using outsourcing in order to collect taxes and they get less tax money that way. IIRC there were estimates that 3-5 dollars out of every 10 dollars collected by these agencies were kept by the IRS. If that's the case and I'm still getting charged 10 dollars either way, I would rather the IRS get it than some scummy fucks who practice private tax collection.
Spending without taxation is just paid for with inflation, which is an extremely regressive tax.

Oh-ho-ho-ho, that is a SPICY can of worms you've opened up there. Could illegal immigrants be argued to be a new form of colonizers? Genuinely curious.
Have you not been watching Mexicans reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee over the flood of Californians coming into Mexico City? It's never colonization when a bunch of beans hop our fence, it's only when white people do it that it's bad.

From ZH:

The bill includes:

  • $370 billion for climate change - the largest investment in clean energy and emissions cuts the Senate has ever passed.
  • Allows the federal health secretary to negotiate the prices of certain expensive drugs for Medicare.
  • Three-year extension on healthcare subsidies in the Affordable Care Act.
  • 15% minimum tax on corporations making $1 billion or more in income. The provision offers more than $300 billion in revenue.
  • IRS tax enforcement.
  • 1% excise tax on stock buybacks.
Drilling down on the climate portion - Axios' Andrew Freedman writes:

  • This includes tax incentives to manufacture and purchase electric vehicles, generate more wind and solar electricity and support fledgling technology such as direct air capture and hydrogen production.
  • Independent analyses show the bill, combined with other ongoing emissions reductions, would cut as much as 40% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, short of the White House's 50% reduction target. However, if enacted into law, it would reestablish U.S. credibility in international climate talks, which had been flagging due in part to congressional gridlock.
  • As part of Democrats' concessions to Sen. Manchin, the bill also contains provisions calling for offshore oil lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast of Alaska, and a commitment to take up a separate measure to ease the permitting of new energy projects.
Sounds like they are all listening to BlackRock

That's really weird, why are Californian's migrating to Mexico all of a sudden?

They need to build a wall and make Cali pay for it.

Because Plan A of turning red states into subservient slaves to the Californian Borg got kiboshed due to the Roe v. Wade repeal. So Mexico is....Plan B? Bold strategy, Cotton.

That's the fun part. Almost none. Oh, a handful of small items are in there but the majority is either paying off debts, the climate stuff primarily is getting laundered here, or being used as the usual inside trading deal to make personal wealth.

I'd estimate that the amount being laundered equates to approximately 10% of their debts. Which is nothing to sneer at but even including the small amounts they have managed to sneak in, they haven't even broken 20% nor the required 40% to show ability to return investment.
I can also give some insight here, albeit from another angle, namely from the angle of the activist core.

As Gehenna has said, the amount they need to pay down isn't just in terms of capital, though the Dems have been bingo in that area since 2016 thanks to Hillary. It's also in terms of influence and favors for favors. For the purposes of getting across just how fucked the Dems are, however, we're going to be going just for the financial capital angle, because most of the others are, if anything, even worse off, and it will give you a better understanding of how absolutely, unequivocally, how fucked their entire apparatus is.

Since at least 2010, the mechanisms the Dems have been relying upon have been breaking down, one by one. I've brought up previously how my generation getting chased off in favor of the more controllable hard-left (Neoprogressives, rote Commies, et al) resulted in an entire generation of people who systemically don't have the vision, ambition, or drive to actually lead putting the screws to their ground game, but it's their financial game that was the first to really take it in the pooper on a national level.

Those more familiar will know that the Dems are no stranger to getting funds from odious sources that everyone is systemically pissed at - big banks, OPEC, and big personal donors (like daddy Soros). What is less known is that financially, they used to take in even more cash at the micro level - via tiny donations and local fundraising events. The Dems might be able to raise a few hundred K off a $300 a head dinner gala where a candidate showed up for five seconds, or the smarter candidates could hold a small local event, like a hot dog cookout or something for $20 a person, and come away with about 150K as half of a fucking town shows up for what is essentially a massive barbeque party that also doubles as a PR event where a candidate can meet and greet their constituents.

These local events and local fundraisers, however, required that the fork-and-spoon operators in the activist pool were on the ball, and that the politicians that they were backing were smart enough to read the room. Sometimes you'd get a situation where the former was the case, but the latter was too up their ass to do it right. Other times, you'd get a case where the Pol was absolutely on board, but their ground game couldn't find their ass with both hands. Good times, I saw both. However, do you remember how I mentioned the gradual bleed out of talent that hit after 2008? When the activists from my generation began to fuck off, they didn't just leave - they took the money they otherwise brought in and fundraising opportunities they otherwise created with them.

This resulted in a sizable cash crunch, because suddenly, a giant chunk of the cash influx the Dems relied on just.... Wasn't there. Even in Blue States. Obama rather infamously had almost one third of his 2008 campaign entirely funded by by donations under $200; in 2012, this cash wasn't there, and Obama effectively ran the DNC into the ground to maintain his grip on the presidency. Where the Dems had to make up the cash was leveraging their big donors, who, of course, asked for more - more legislation the way they wanted, more hard-left policy, and more capitulation from the establishment class.

You might think that during all of this, having a lowered ability to bring cash in, the Dems might realize that this is a problem and cut back spending, but in fact, the opposite was the case - they spent and spent like it was going out of style, and nothing showed this like 2016. I know of low-level Dem staffers who never showed up for work a single day and took home a six-figure income over it. I know of others who worked for candidates who were bumped out of the running in 2015 and were still collecting paychecks for consulting work they obviously were not doing even after the 2016 elections. And if you think that's surreal, check out Dem spending on advertising buy-ins; Hillary's camp spent fucking triple what Trump did - indeed, at the time, the most expensive political ad buy-in in the history of the country - and ultimately wound up getting crushed by the Crazy Orange diamond.

Hillary accepting the nomination of the Dems at the time came with a few disturbing stipulations - one was that the DNC would actively lock down on shutting down any alt candidates that started to rise, like Obama did in 2008 - this is what wound up getting Bernie strangled out by the establishment. The other is that Hillary's campaign would be given complete control of the DNC's war chest for the duration of the 2016 electoral season. To hear Clinton say it,. when her campaign got control of the purse-strings, Obama left the DNC bankrupt and almost 2 million dollars in debt.

So where do you think all of that cash that she spent against Trump came from?

She sucked it dry from every downticket Democrat. The DNC, under Hillary's campaign cared only about one thing: the presidency. All else was secondary. Huge numbers of Dems were withering on the vine as a result, a situation that was later capitalized on by parts of the progressive caucus when they started to fire off primary challenges. By the time the dust settled on 2016, Hillary had lost and all of that money they spent, ultimately, was for nothing.

They were already bleeding from 2012, and 2016 sucked them dry. They've never recovered financially from this, and it's been six years. Every year, the problem for them compounds.

Now add the fact that they utterly squandered their other forms of Capital and have no way of paying any of this shit back, and you start to grasp why their entire machine is running aground in a way that is practically biblical in scope.

@Jaimas reply bug.

So I have to ask, what caused the purge of the old ground game dem workers? Also how can the new wave, not understand how to do a BBQ or public events? or do they just think hastags on twitter are enough?
Hillary iirc. I think Howard Dean got the ground game going for Obamas win. Then when Hillary put her people in they scrapped all that shit.

There's no point in having a BBQ when the only people who show up are random trannies and Antifa. They're not actually there to support you though, they want to tell you how racist and transphobic you are.

Then they'll destroy your setup and post about how you were drunk and abusive and your campaign staff physically attacked them.

Then AOC will see trannies raging on Twitter and accuse you of trying to rape her with a frankfurter.

Is having a public event that caters to liberals actually worth it?
