going to go on a limb and say that the scrapped 3rd and 4th protagonist had post story gameplay that revolved around empire building and it is being repurposed/held back for gta online 2

This video explains the original Mafia better than I ever could. Mafia's remake didn't share the same ambitions. One quick glance of both games would say otherwise. Crime story, open world, jack cars. Although, Mafia is more story driven than GTA.
You don't understand, these are hard times as all the NPCs call me and tell me so constantly, the events can't afford to give the same rewards they used to!In "stupid shit in GTA Online" news
Apparently there is a random event that hasn't been activated yet. It involves you following a plane with an engine failure across the map to where it crashes and recovering a briefcase with 10,000 dollars in it.
10k after all the hooplah about increasing payments lmfao. I'm pretty sure that is less than the similar event that was around way back in the PS3/360 days.
There's already like three missions in the game that are exactly like that. One is for the awful hangar business and the plane moves so slowly that it looks like its standing still. I wouldn't have a problem with the payout if the missions were fun on their own but they aren't. Seriously glad I dropped this game.In "stupid shit in GTA Online" news

VCS is certainly more colorful, especially the fair in the mainland.
Pretty interesting video looking at the differences between the original Vice City and it’s spin-off, Vice City Stories.
Prices for GTA Liberty City and Vice City Stories are slightly going down to respectable prices on eBay. Only downside is that for Vice City Stories, they always have those users that try to siphon more money out of you by only getting the game and case, but no manual, map and poster.
It’s not real a GTA game in my eyes if you don’t have those three basic necessities.
Kinda random but I can't be the only one who originally thought the Vance brothers were black right? I know they're half Dominican, half white, but picking black VAs then doing that was a strange decision by Rockstar. Either way, VCS always holds a special place for me and I've always enjoyed it, definitely one of my top favorite GTA games. Maybe because it was portable, maybe because it had Phil Collins, maybe because of the Empire system,

If anything, the Phil Collins missions made the game worth it, since it had a strong subtle reference to the classic TV show Miami Vice using his iconic song in the show.Kinda random but I can't be the only one who originally thought the Vance brothers were black right? I also loved how Phil liked GTA too, despite it being something someone his age wouldn't usually even get, let alone like. I also might be biased since I'm a big Collins fan, I remember as a kid finding cassette tapes of his songs in my family's stuff and listening to them, especially In The Air Tonight (still one of my favorite songs of all time, and giving it a listen as I type), then playing VCS and all of a sudden his ass appears and sings the song, and hearing him on the radio? It all felt so wonderful as a child, I gotta dig my PS2 out one day and replay it, or download a emulator. If anything, the Phil Collins missions made the game worth it, since it had a strong subtle reference to the classic TV show Miami Vice using his iconic song in the show.
Even the fact that VCS gave him his own in game radio show where he played Genesis songs were the real highlight for me. It’s just a nice touch.
A GTA like game requires so much work and money to make that only big AAA companies can make one, we are past the era where even small devs could make games to rival big companies sadly.I dont understand the modern world. I get if you want to make Saints Row progressive, or GTA progressive, but shouldn't there be a more edgy alternative choice? I'm not exactly asking for Chud Theft Auto: Tranny Killer Stories, but something that is more fratty would be nice. As opposed to hiring writers off of twitter
but couldnt they? if they made the graphics super shit for exampleA GTA like game requires so much work and money to make that only big AAA companies can make one, we are past the era where even small devs could make games to rival big companies sadly.
Be honest would you buy a modern game with 3d era graphics, would any large group of people do that? Graphics dont make a game but there's a reason we moved past 2003 era graphics, maybe a stylized artstyle could work but that would still be a massive task.but couldnt they? if they made the graphics super shit for example
I think so, if it was an indie game. Look at that shooter Dusk I think? maybe they can bank off the whole nostalgia bait thing idkBe honest would you buy a modern game with 3d era graphics, would any large group of people do that? I personally think the 3d era gtas graphics wise don't hold up as well as boomer shooters, so i think it could be a harder sell since they would be without the nostalgia of the 3d era gamesI think so, if it was an indie game. Look at that shooter Dusk I think? Was pretty well received and successful
