You know, there is on the surface absolutely nothing wrong with a Female Protagonist for GTA, provided done correctly and not in the hands of a woke retard. An actual female anti-hero is a cool concept. Here is my elevator pitch.

Cassandra, (Cassie to Friends) lives with a dead beat dad in the slums of Vice City. Her dad isn't really abusive and does care for her, but he's also drugged out of his brain on heroin. He got hit by the one two punch of losing his job at the closed steel mill and her mom leaving the family for parts unknown. (Insert meta commentary on the heroin epidemic here). Cassie has to pick up the slack to make what ends can meet that isn't paid from the dads disability checks.

Unfortunately, this shitty but stable situation comes to an end after pops gets in hock with the wrong people. See, he was working as a drug mule and lost the package. Now there is a whole gang of bad hombre chollos from south of the border cartels demanding the package or their money. Cassie stops them from killing her father by promising to make back the money.

Thus begins her journey into the underworld of vice city, with a persistent, but ever present time clock. She needs to make routine payments to the cartels or else they will kill her dad. She can make money by working odd jobs for the gang, maybe take a shift as a stripper, level up skills in weapons, hand to hand and seduction. Give the player the option of going down a Mata Hari character path where you rely on feminine whiles to get what you want, or go full "furiosa" on the fury road.

As the game progresses maybe she will figure out the mystery of who stole her dad's drugs. Maybe she will take over the strip club she works in and become the madam after outwitting it's pig owner. Maybe she will build her own gang and take out the cartel. Or join them and rise in the ranks. Maybe find out what happened to her mom.

But nah, who am I kidding. We are going to get one dimensional stronk wahmen with no real motivation or sexual identity beyond having a vagine.

Imagine if they'd stuck to the PS2 era formula of shit graphics but ever more content per game. God we could have had seven or eight SAs instead of just IV+Episodes and V.

Edit: Old GTA could have done a female protag, someone like Elizabeth Torres, often wrong and obnoxious but still fun. Instead she'll probably be an infallible turbocunt.

Apparently there is a random event that hasn't been activated yet. It involves you following a plane with an engine failure across the map to where it crashes and recovering a briefcase with 10,000 dollars in it.

10k after all the hooplah about increasing payments lmfao. I'm pretty sure that is less than the similar event that was around way back in the PS3/360 days.

You don't understand, these are hard times as all the NPCs call me and tell me so constantly, the events can't afford to give the same rewards they used to!

There's already like three missions in the game that are exactly like that. One is for the awful hangar business and the plane moves so slowly that it looks like its standing still. I wouldn't have a problem with the payout if the missions were fun on their own but they aren't. Seriously glad I dropped this game.

If you think about it, Endings A & B in GTA V have long term consequences for all protagonists in a "What If?" scenario.

Franklin is still alive, but has to live through the guilt of killing either Michael or Trevor with both of them resenting him. There's no payoff either (not counting The Big One score), you basically did Haines or Weston's dirty work for them.

Lamar is hunted down by Stretch and cannot hang out at night. I can imagine he'd eventually go after Franklin as well.

If Trevor is spared, Wei Cheng may still go after him for Blaine County's drug running business. Worse, Michael's family would have to relocate away from Franklin and Los Santos.

If Michael is spared, he has to live with the fact that he screwed over Trevor. I guess by then, the FIB leaves him alone since his records are deleted from an earlier heist. But, Devin Weston still has connections and money despite losing Merryweather so it's not unlikely he'd go after Micheal.

Pretty interesting video looking at the differences between the original Vice City and it’s spin-off, Vice City Stories.

Prices for GTA Liberty City and Vice City Stories are slightly going down to respectable prices on eBay. Only downside is that for Vice City Stories, they always have those users that try to siphon more money out of you by only getting the game and case, but no manual, map and poster.

It’s not real a GTA game in my eyes if you don’t have those three basic necessities.

VCS is certainly more colorful, especially the fair in the mainland.

Kinda random but I can't be the only one who originally thought the Vance brothers were black right? I know they're half Dominican, half white, but picking black VAs then doing that was a strange decision by Rockstar. Either way, VCS always holds a special place for me and I've always enjoyed it, definitely one of my top favorite GTA games. Maybe because it was portable, maybe because it had Phil Collins, maybe because of the Empire system, maybe because Lance kino, it was just a lot of fun.

If anything, the Phil Collins missions made the game worth it, since it had a strong subtle reference to the classic TV show Miami Vice using his iconic song in the show.

Even the fact that VCS gave him his own in game radio show where he played Genesis songs were the real highlight for me. It’s just a nice touch.

I also loved how Phil liked GTA too, despite it being something someone his age wouldn't usually even get, let alone like. I also might be biased since I'm a big Collins fan, I remember as a kid finding cassette tapes of his songs in my family's stuff and listening to them, especially In The Air Tonight (still one of my favorite songs of all time, and giving it a listen as I type), then playing VCS and all of a sudden his ass appears and sings the song, and hearing him on the radio? It all felt so wonderful as a child, I gotta dig my PS2 out one day and replay it, or download a emulator.

I dont understand the modern world. I get if you want to make Saints Row progressive, or GTA progressive, but shouldn't there be a more edgy alternative choice? I'm not exactly asking for Chud Theft Auto: Tranny Killer Stories, but something that is more fratty would be nice. As opposed to hiring writers off of twitter

A GTA like game requires so much work and money to make that only big AAA companies can make one, we are past the era where even small devs could make games to rival big companies sadly.

but couldnt they? if they made the graphics super shit for example
Be honest would you buy a modern game with 3d era graphics, would any large group of people do that? Graphics dont make a game but there's a reason we moved past 2003 era graphics, maybe a stylized artstyle could work but that would still be a massive task.

I think so, if it was an indie game. Look at that shooter Dusk I think? Was pretty well received and successful
