This is also in Canada, everything is going to be very different in how they operate, he's probably so America-brained that he doesn't even understand how the Canadian laws work for these kinds of things

I tried looking on the London police's website to see if lucas really got arrested. Turns out you have to send in a check for $50 to get access to records, but I looked on the news and investigations section of the website to see if they reported on it, but I didn't see anything pertaining to his case on August 5.

However, this story makes no sense but I'll admit I did not watch the video. Why would you need to get a defense lawyer for a swatting? Why if it was a swatting which is usually resolved quickly when proven to be ruse would they take his phone or get a warrant? I'm not familiar with snownigger law so maybe I'm just stupid, but this seems sketchy.

i dont know much about how canada works but i highly doubt they just storm into peoples houses and take stuff just because some rando makes a phone call. i have never once heard of cops taking evidence being part of a swat call at most they arrest you and check stuff out to make sure there is no actual illegal stuff going on. then when they realize its nothing they let you go and thats that. the way lucas describes things makes it sound less like swatting and more like a raid they would do on someones house if they had reasonable suspicion that you or someone else in the house was doing something illegal or in the possession of something illegal (such as cp or guns or drugs) the fact that they even seized his phone as evidence leads me to believe that if this was a swatting they must have also had a pile of other evidence and the random call was the last straw. but like i said i dont know much about canadian police so this might be normal stuff for them.
