The better question is how the hell would she afford a beagle/hound dog in the first place.

This might be dumb as I don't drive so feel free to rate me dumb (I can't afford a car plus I'm a shit driver) but she's begging for fuel every other day. I know fuel is expensive but either her car is inefficient with fuel or, my theory, the money's for pot.

This hysterectomy saga is nuts. Laparoscopic surgeries suck, from personal experience, but this saga is bringing out the munchie in her big time.
The "gas money" is 100% a grift. Joshy Noodlearms is less than 5 miles from work and there's also an on demand public transit service.

Yeah, she'll take the $10 to the gas station, but it's going to a white trash survival pack of Bang soda, Flamin Hot Cheetos, and a Delta 8 pre-roll.

There’s just been thousands rescued from some awful breeding place. I don’t have a link but it made the papers in the UK.

Additional Link
Surely none of the rescues that are finding homes for the Envigo Beagles would give one to Polissa, right? They usually ask for vet references and we know how often her animals see the vet.

If one of those sweet dogs ends up in Pol's hoard this thread will reach horrorcow status.

I hope with every inch of my body it doesn’t happen but the sheer number of dogs must be overwhelming and hopefully they all get great homes,

Mrs YeastVag probably saw the news and thought “I want” and that it’d be easy to get a free dog.

Hounds, at least in the south, are a dime a dozen. Shelters are filled with them and people are always trying to give them away on Craigslist and Facebook.

ETA: I expect she'll have a brand new shiny hound dog to show off after her surgery and claim she "rescued" them AKA found someone trying to rehome one. She'll also say she needed this new dog because they'll help her recover. Thus the pet grift will start anew because of course she'll need more dog food money and she'll need to get them a rabies shot or the county will fine them. She'll also need money for their leptospirosis vaccine because who knows if Ms. Raccoon will have more uninvited guests.

Worry less about getting new dogs and worry about possibly needing to amputate the ones on your ham and bone feet fatass.

Even if she is just taking the piss (doubt) it's such a shite comment to make when the animal abuse is our biggest gripe with her. She'll subtweet us/indirectly reply to the thread and defend her meat bowls to death but there is not one single attempt of providing any sort of proof to debunk our claim saying her animals live in a shit hovel and are neglected and hoarded.

Feeding animals is simply not sufficient. Shit hovels I've visited in the Middle East do that for their strays. Bitch.

ETA: The moodybeth12 retweet looked familiar. That is the same person who keeps in touch with Shameka.

See, if she did that, people would realize she's a shit human being and poor, not just poor.

I didn't realize that Joh's new job was working at a chicken plant. Just a few more squares and he'll be able to win redneck job bingo!

They're desperate for workers - even before the current labor market, you'd see plants basically beg people to come work for them - so it doesn't surprise me that he was able to get it.

She says she made $13/hour in 2008 before disability.

Did call centers pay $13/hour in 2008? Six months at a Wachovia (lol) call center, a little under two years at a Walgreen's call center, and five months in retail at a Books-a-Million are the only work history she has listed anywhere that I can see. It's possible that's what she made, but that seems slightly high to me; she likely considers anything paying over $10-$11/hour to be a "high-paying" job.

Polly got the gas money, by the way

At least she said thank you, despite having all the emotion of thanking a Walmart cashier.

She's just chiding that person about vet visits to make her followers think Jenn over reacts. "See, I think vet visits are important. Everyone is obviously mean trolls!"
How exciting that she's wanting another animal. They certainly have a great track record with them. Hopefully Josh tells her no like he did to the dumpster cat. Too bad he didn't put his rotting foot down a zillion cats ago.

I am not surprised at all that she's feeling out EDS with her whiney pal GelflingGirl. It's huge with munchies now that Fibro is old news. Time for something new and interesting to reinvigorate the sympathy machine!

I noticed that her follower count is slowly but surely dropping. It was at just over 1800 followers the day of the cow tip (no proof unfortunately). It's at 1780 tonight. Let's see what it is in a couple days.

Polissa scared of Monkeypox

Screen Shot 2022-08-10 at 11.03.07 PM.png

Yes Polissa, Monkeypox is a public health emergency. But there are ways to avoid it and it's not as infectious as Covid was. Covid really fucked the world because it was a "novel" strain of coronavirus that we had no real idea of what the fuck it would do besides the basics and the Chinese government went hush hush on it until the cat was out of the bag. We at least have a very good idea of what the fuck to do with Monkeypox, even with this virulent strain. Covid numbers were also far higher than 10,000 before the first three fucking months. I remember in my state that daily cases were over double that for a good bit right after our first cases. Just saying.

BTW I've ended up in the hospital a couple times this year between medical conditions and surgeries. Back in January I wasn't allowed any visitors, not even to help me into the hospital despite being in extreme pain. They could not leave the car for any reason. I ended up in the ER for extreme pain again within the past month (or rather less than so, but I'm getting PL-y as it is), and they allowed someone to stay with me if I needed it (which I did). Had to wear a mask, but that was expected. Nurses and techs asked me about covid vax/testing once versus the multiple times in January. Not a word about Monkeypox. Nope, not even if I had been exposed to someone with it. This shit is peanuts compared to the bananas that was Covid to them.)

I'd recommend Deutschland, bleiche Mutter or Life is Beautiful to Polly if she really wants to go this route, but neither are romantic novels like Captain Corelli's Mandalin and are foreign language to boot. Subtitles must be hard for her.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is considered a classic but it's... not what OP was asking about.

Don't make me tag Miss Misery, Miss Cherokee Princess. She's having a bad night and I dunno if she'd find this funny.

She just gave up all claim to being an animal rescue by being specific about breeds she wants. Hope her followers notice that.
I collect secondhand rats off of Gumtree now, but back when I was still buying little girls from breeders, one respected breeder actually told me that she hated it when people chose kittens specifically for their colour. Her little beasties were breed strictly for temperament and soundness, their coats patterns and colours never came into consideration.

In January, I was planning to buy a couple of ratties from a breeder for the first time in years. I selfishly wanted girls with known ancestry and hopefully no interesting problems with their health and behaviour for a change. I was a week off of picking up the new kittens, when a girl I had adopted two weeks before dropped a surprise litter. She managed to smuggle a dozen kittens in her uterus without so much as a belly droop. It was a bit of a shock. I ended up buying a maternity tub from the breeder instead of the kittens we'd agreed on. I kept the girls from the litter and passed the males onto a real rescue when I had doubts about my ability to find adequate homes for them myself, as I (incorrectly) suspected genetic disease at the time. (Turns out they were just small like their mum.) Unfortunately I can't buy any new well bred ratties like I was planning to, because there's a set number of girls I'm physically and financially able to properly care for, and the surprise babies put me at that limit.

I've been adopting ratties whose prior owners couldn't take care of them for over a decade now. That doesn't make me a rescue. One or two little girls a year does not a rescue make. A rescue is an organisation that deals with many animals at a time, and is a co-ordinated conglomerate of people working together.

Even if Polissa was genuinely taking care of her cats, she still wouldn't be a rescue. She does not move her animals along to new homes and she is not part of a network that takes active part in the community, and even if she was, she still wouldn't handle enough animals at any one time to be classed as a rescue, merely a caring enthusiast. 'Rescue' is just another description she's pretentiously co-opted.

$1 parking? She'd have to fundraise all night for that. And the gas! I don't think $200 would cover it. Also she'd need a corndog. Weed because of her PTSD and fibromyalgia. A $12 pizza from Josh's work so he doesn't die on the way over.

I don't think you know what a grand, costly undertaking this all would be.

Bingo.

Mutual aid also works best IRL, among people who know each other because so much of the aid that makes a real difference doesn't come in the form of money. Giving somebody a ride, watching their kids, taking care of their animals, providing services (such as minor car or household repairs, haircuts, making birthday cakes and party decorations, sewing and alterations, etc.), scouting for free stuff or good deals others might want, bulk-buying staple foods together—I could go on.

But in that scenario, you aren't just given what you need by your IRL social network; you're expected to offer useful things in return, so you do. And sometimes, it's inconvenient, but when you know it's the difference between that person getting/keeping a job, or getting health care for themselves or a family member, or being able to make the trip home to see their family again, you do it. Because leaving them to flounder and fail only makes things worse for everybody, and because you might need them to do the same things for you one day. Also, having a reputation for reliability and trustworthiness is a form of currency in itself—it's what got me an apartment after being briefly homeless, and the first job that gave me a toehold up out of poverty.

Being poor sucks. Being poor alone, with no IRL network where you exchange practical help needed in order to keep everyone afloat, is much worse. In that case, you have to beg for help from people who don't need you, who don't really trust you, and will give only the bare minimum needed to get you to leave them alone. And Polissa, because she only understands the "aid" part, and not the "mutual," has no IRL friends-and-neighbors network, so she's reduced to the occasional pity handout from family, raging about the inadequacy of her government tugboat, scolding her Twitter following for not giving her what she claims to need, and being a dismissive, ungrateful twat when they do.

Being poor sucks. Being poor when you're someone like Polissa has got to be hell. But it's one of her own making, so I can't feel too bad about it.
You are absolutely fuckin A right about that. Trustworthiness and integrity are definitely currency when you need someone to do you a solid(favor). I've picked up jobs just by word of mouth, being recommended by friends. I will work for my money and I can be trusted not to steal shit. I try to help other people out whenever I can and I have a small circle but we help each other.

And yes, I've bartered services to pick up a little "medicine" of my own BUT I'm providing something (not sex lol, babysitting gigs or giving rides to the store in a town with no Uber)in return.

Roly-Poly doesn't seem to comprehend what true mutual aid is,maybe because outside of Josh and her family, they have no "circle". Josh has an antisocial personality and she's just an ungrateful kunt.
