Imagine living in a place where healthcare wait times can be months to years long, where thanks to a recent pandemic, patients with cancer and other serious illnesses have worsened waiting for real life-saving operations. Where emergency room wait times have been many, many hours for YEARS. Where people have trouble finding general practitioners for themselves and their children and rely on walk in clinics - again, often with multiple hour waits.

If I lived in such a place, I would really focus on keeping myself healthy and avoiding any unnecessary, high-risk operations. If I wanted cosmetic surgery, I probably wouldn't go for it unless I was severely disfigured, because it wouldn't be worth it to risk the complications.

Imagine if you decided to travel to another country to get a high risk cosmetic surgery. And complications happened - of course they did. And now you burden an already overburdened healthcare system, and COMPLAIN about it.

Most people with stomas didn't have a choice in the matter. Most of them had to have a necessary colectomy for something like cancer or Chron's.

I have talked to a many homeless people in the past and many share a common catalyst to becoming homeless. They literally choose to be homeless, that's it. I met this homeless guy once named Jimbo several years back. A pretty cool dude and interesting to talk to. He told me that he, and many like him, simply don’t want to participate society, not out of laziness or because of some ailment that makes them to sick to work. It essentially boils down to if you want to deal the bureaucratic process of just participating. As Jimbo told me, he had a steady wagie job and a low- income house however, he got fed up with having to live paycheck to paycheck at a job he hated in return for very little. So he said fuck it and decided living in the streets was a better alternative. It’s not like there aren’t enough shelters for him to turn to when needed. Hell, when I met him he was on his way to one. And if he was offered a good paying job, he would merely turn it down as he has actually done a couple of times before. He did the “return to monke” meme, but for real, long before it was a meme. And as Jimbo said, there are many others like him and make up a good chunk, if not a slim majority, of homeless people.

I want to correct myself as I reread OP and wouldn't want to spread false information on the Kiwi Farms. I don't think Lana went overseas for SRS, think I'm getting confused with Keffals. My main point still stands.
