General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It looks like that Nijisanji EN is opening another audition again. Another male focused audition, but with a new caveat that they "specifically" seeking out Gamers-focused talents.

Not unusual to see them opening audition just after the new wave debuting, but it's interesting that now they want a more specific-focused talent.
A lot of the core male talent, the games they play tend to circulate between one another or overlap with chasing trends. Minecraft and Val have been safe choices for a while now, with your atypical "meta" games like Fall Guys, Getting Over It and Jump King typically played early on into the respective debuts. Oh and don't forget your forced "It Takes Two" co-op series.

I don't even think going after some tryhard e-sports guys is needed. I think Niji needs to find people that actually play games in general.

In case you hadn't had enough of people making fun of chuuba's teeth

>finally fall asleep after rolling around for two hours because it's so fucking hot
>dream about playing ARMA 3 on one of those autistic 50 player co-op milsim servers
>no vehicles anywhere in spawn, objective is like 6 kilometers away, all of the other players are there
>walk for what feels like hours
>get to the fight
>someone backs over me in a tank and kills me before I even manage to shoot at anyone
>hear "FUCK YOU DUUD SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE DUUD" coming from the tank
>in Pippa's voice
>get so fucking angry in my dream I bolt awake
>only slept for two hours, can't fall asleep again

So, how's your morning going? Because I think my autism is trying to kill me.
I miss her too, bro...

Ramboman 2 starring Aussie Fur Boy starting soon.

Axel's Hitman gameplay is entertaining for being hilariously bad.
Would be funny if the game continued the mechanic from previous titles where the very next mission's difficulty increases if you left too much evidence behind, killed too many non-targets, or were caught on cameras and didn't destroy the recordings.

Sadly the latter games went pretty hard into pandering towards streamers for "reactable moments" and so most kills are standing affair and watching some elaborate event kill the target. Assuming you are capable of following the most forced, front loaded objective that is.

The NijiEN boys don't lack in people that play games but they lack in specialists. Alban and Sonny are the only ones with a gaming niche, and Sonny's is still overshadowed by Selen who was better at Overwatch (8x Top 500) than him (Master).

No one really associates the boys with a game/genre in the same way they'd associate Selen with FPS, Pomu with Minecraft, Reimu with horror, Finana with Gacha (for better or worse), Elira with the long-play JRPGs etc.

So they definitely need some brotubers that just want to spam the shit they're good at unapologetically. People like Kuzuha and Kanae that just run shit for 8-12 hours and call it a day. I'm sure the company has a kind of endgoal in mind for wanting specific abilities though.

Nishizawa 5mm (Nene's mama) promote her own figure (available at march 2023). It's pretty cool as my opinion.

Looks like the manufacturer, Hakoiri Musume [株式会社箱入り娘] has also done a figure for Pochi's character Chiyo from Ane Maru Mono as well.

I guess get Nabi and Pochi as themselves, in on the figurine thing to win?

Nijisanji Koshien B-League waiting rooms are up and ready to go.

Main Event:
EN watchalong (Luca Kaneshiro + Others):
JP watchalong (Belmond Banderas + Others):

Currently the bracket looks like this:

GRAND FINALS
Lize Helesta VS __________
BATTLE FOR 3RD
Sasaki Saku VS __________
BATTLE FOR 5TH
Kagami Hayato VS __________
BATTLE FOR 7TH
Leos Vincent VS __________
Tomorrow's stream will probably be even bigger than today. I still find it funny how Luca joined the stream not knowing a thing about Baseball and left wanting to host his own watchalong because he enjoyed it so much.

A bit weird to see since they did the whole Gamers thing back in 2018 with JP and then combined Gamers with the rest of JP. Though I suppose they did get a lot of really popular livers out of the Gamers batch in the long run, as 4 out of the top 10 subscribed JPs are ex-gamers - Kuzuha, Kanae, Himawari, and Sasaki.

Unlike JP it doesn't seem like they will be separate from the rest of NijiEN at first.
Makes sense honestly, because the men in EN seems to do the best first off, and they've probably been seeing people say they want gaming focused ones. While our current roster plays games and whatnot, there's none actually focused. And like the west, you can probably expect the current talents to scale back on gaming to "focus on other things I want to do" lol. It'll be interesting to see how it works out in the west.

Rust is genuinely a blessing for people craving EN and JP cross-pollination. And on a related note it also seems to be a game that Gura can play when she's not streaming and wants to interact with JP members without the weight of thousands of retarded chumbuds breathing down her neck.

I honestly wonder if any of the JP girls are scared to kill her because of the chumbud reckoning that would follow.
