Chantal has repeated a few times this week that when they moved into the villa they paid first and last month’s rent.
I think she has been paying rent, up until this month, and is unable to pay this month’s rent due to declining pay and spending it on men.
She is holding Peetz off, and fooling herself, by saying it doesn’t matter that she hasn’t paid this month’s rent, as she has her pie in the sky plan that they are just about to move to matching apartments in Montreal anyway.
She is unable to not vocalise her secrets, and if she hasn’t paid rent, it’s on her mind, which is why she keeps going over her plan to rectify it, by it being covered by the last month‘s rent pre-pay.
This makes more sense that her not paying for months and being evicted.

I'm going to play the gunt-devil's advocate and say that Shannon is a hag and I don't give a fuck about her either. The first thing she does after inconveniencing hospital workers for attention is text the gunt and demand a visit. Chins says no and she throws a snarky response then posts their conversation online for more attention. There's a lot of reasons to shit on Chantal but her brushing off some BPD riddled skank isn't one of them.

I respectfully disagree. I don't care about Shannon either, but she hasn't been my best friend of 30 years. Chantal loves to make excuses and create issues for herself. According to those texts after Chantal said she wouldn't visit because the hospital would be triggering for her, Shannon said okay, just a phone call then? Chantal doesn't respond for two days and Shannon rightfully gets upset because Chantal told everyone on livestream about her her issues. (I also thought Shannon was awful for outing Chantal)
Chantal is dumb bitch, she's not staying away from Shannon due to her own "mental health", she's a vindictive and vile person that jumped at the chance to show everyone that her haters get their karma.
