That'd be an "interesting" angle to take for this show. In a world where over 90% of the human race is either dead or mutated into fungal zombies, civilization as a whole collapsed, and infrastructure either overgrown or falling apart into rubble, I highly doubt White Supremacy would be on anyone's radar.

Nah, they did it to make it closer to Druckmann's reinterpretation in Last of Us 2. She is now constantly scowling like she did in the sequel, angry girl boss lesbian grrrrr.
Original appearance had a lot of child like qualities, now it looks like adult Ellie on a smaller body.
