I'm just venting. I have noticed things have changed. Posters were a lot more levelheaded and would just discuss cows but now there's a lot of people who get genuinely upset about stupid shit and can't let it go.

There's also the newer posters who think this is reddit and support deplatforming internet personalities while not realizing how much of a slippery slope that is and will hold a personal grudge if you don't agree. The ironic thing is they'd be the first to throw a tantrum if their favorites got deplatformed.

It sounds like teenage insecurity to me. The target audience of the site are those that can stand back and laugh at a good joke. What has happened is that another group has also come about on the board: those that instead seek a feeling of superiority, because whatever they are insecure about can be minimized when they can compare it to someone else. It's a juvenile mentality, and I would wager that many of them are either teenagers or emotionally stunted manchildren. It's cope.

Cope is the mindkiller. This may be cringe, but to those that are MATI because they are getting told off for shitting all over the forum's culture, please go to the gym, stop eating garbage, and get a good night's sleep. And most importantly, learn to laugh. Life is short, no sense being fucking miserable all the time.

A lot of people can't seem to manage the line between 'laughing/marveling at someone's stupidity' and 'getting irrationally angry at it', go figure. It's not even KF specific, I've seen people turned into psychopaths on other forums where the focus was "let's laugh at some of these stupid newspaper comics". 90% of people just laugh and make jokes or mock it but off in that 10% you get obsessives and the occasional guy who starts talking about how he'd re-enact a SAW scene with the dude who writes Heathcliff.

That sounds like a good idea in theory, but it would eventually kill the site. Sites need new blood to maintain the flow of traffic. Just look at SomethingAwful and how that turned out.

Instead, I suggest relegating newfags to the single lolcow subforums (Chris, DSP, Ethan Ralph, and Nick Fuentes), the VTuber General, and A&H for their first few months since those boards are all shit anyway and 80% of people only join to A-Log/Fedpost in those boards anyway.
