I'd really like to see less of this kind of behavior. To be fair, this guy is probably about 70 IQ but it still seems like nobody has ever taken him aside and given him a talk, or if they did it obviously didn't sink in.

I'm of the opinion that counterculture is always doomed to collapse as soon as it attracts pretty much any notable outside attention. Putting aside the fact that you have people joining without really knowing the background of the community, you also have people start to get drawn into it for the "wrong" reasons. A guiding principle of this community is people being able to say what they want, how they want. It's excellent. It's what makes this site feel like it's something disparate from the generic reddit/youtube/social media slop that gets shoveled down my throat everywhere else on the internet. It means I don't see (the same) curated talking points from "polite" society where everyone's worried about their image. It makes the site genuinely interesting, because I'm seeing what people are genuinely passionate about.

In essence, it's an honest to god forum.

But now we've got people coming in here for the sole reason that they're not welcome anywhere else. That's fine, but it also isn't the source of what makes this site so good. The A&N shit ain't going away. Look at any thread from, say, 2017 and compare the responses on any hot-button issue. Night and day compared to now. It's funny to call a tranny a retard, but we're also less likely to see one come to the forum and talk about their perspectives on someone like Yaniv (I know people still do, but it strikes me as a much rarer occurrence nowadays). And it's a fine line, because if you ban people for laughing at the tranny coming to comment, the essence of the forum is dead because people can't say what they want, how they want. And if you let people do it, that same essence is dead to the tragedy of the commons.

Maybe "be funnier" is the only really proper policy, because that can be enforced separately from "noooooooo not the heckin trannerinos" or "FREE SPEECH NO MATTER WHAT". This shit used to be enforceable in medium sized forums in the 2000s, so maybe arbitrary shit really is the only way forward. I'd like that to be true, because I'm getting really sick of seeing genuine fun places on the internet either go corporate or get co-opted by retards/wingcucks/both.

Anyway my point is the centralized and universal format of the internet nowadays means all culture will die and be reduced to the lowest common denominator and there's nothing we can do about it.

"Funny" response: Don't ban users anymore. Make the whole forum private to them, tell them they have to go through a multiple-step interview process, and then never respond to any of their e-mails.
