This isn't just to dunk on Phil for being bad with money, but I actually don't think he's capable of it anymore. Phil from a few years ago...eh, maybe, but I think since that time, Phil's gambling addiction has gotten worse. He's barely able to save up for his day off, and I mean save in the loosest of terms since it only seems to consist of him not spending what he makes the previous day. Him saving for something for 2 to 3 months seems impossible. Especially since I don't think he's even capable of considering what he'll be doing 2 to 3 weeks from now, let alone months.

I agree, and it's not just his addiction. For as long as he has been whaling hard, which is over two years minimum, Phil has clearly divided up his income and where it goes. Meaning, his eventual money is for the mortgage and whatnot, and immediate money that he gets six days a week is for Champions, booze, and DoorDash. The latter two being less important, as we've seen.

That's a huge problem, because it's an addiction unto itself, that feeling of being entitled to maintaining such a method forever. It's why he lives day to day and is open about it, Phil is not lying about needing money to go anywhere or do anything on his days off, he just leaves out the real reason why, and, again, it isn't just that game. He's every bit as hooked on not mingling the two halves of his finances. He hates the idea of his YT checks being needed for gacha every bit as much as he despises spending tips to keep the lights on.

He may have had to let the mortgage slide a couple of times, but I guarantee you he cussed out his fans for that. Getting so used to this has made his problem worse, since it's one more expectation that prevents him from even considering a major change in lifestyle.

Phil doesn't want to set money aside, ever, not even to ensure his precious day off meals with his wife, because all he can think about is whether or not he should have to, and his fans will always be to blame whenever he has to.

Who's been really annoying me lately is Raven. He has worse audio than Phil and just shouts at the top of his lungs in a monotone meaningless noise like, "You suck Phil" or something to that effect. I used to leave him on in the background but now have to switch it off as his monotone voice saying word vomit on a peaking mic annoys the fuck out of me. He's also started to bitch about support which is hilariously ironic. Lame cause I subbed early on and he was pretty good to just leave on and forget about, but I think he's just run out of shit to say or ideas.

I have a question I'd like to ask.

Hypothetically, if Phil put up a decent incentive to give him money, does the confirmation that he literally burns what you give him on Uber eats and phone jpegs lean you towards it being worth it or would you still be disinclined?

And I mean something actually worth money I don't mean some lame troll tip he half reads then bans you over. Something actually fun (For myself, perhaps getting a full set in a fighting game with him for $3?).

Because at the end of the day you technically got what you wanted and whatever he earns he has no selfcontrol over and will lose regardless. So that's a win, right??

How about that fact that it isn't just laziness? Phil ENJOYS that they do both, it's the one time he gets to be the top in a relationship. They're the one thing in his life besides Kat who's a bigger loser than he is.

But I prefer his insistence that his intake for any given form of giving him money is directly proportional to how much he reminds you that it exists. Not only is he calling them stupid right to their faces, but he's doing so because he insists on trying to maintain the narrative that his begging isn't a choice. A narrative that has been utterly destroyed by his own idiocy. It's like watching someone try to start a Civic after the front half has been taken off by a collision with an 18-wheeler.
