You know what, Phil? I had to learn C++ for my degree and I did it all by myself using two really thicc textbooks. Complaining that no professor wanted to sit down and handhold you through learning how to program sounds like something someone with a low IQ would use as an excuse for not being able to actually understand the concepts being taught to them. If you had what it takes to actually be a programmer, you would've opened the textbook, read the material, understood it, practiced it, and been able to take those skills and apply it in your assignments. No tutors or intensive lecturing required.

You know, gonna power level for a minute, I taught myself C++ in high school. Like exactly the same scenario. I had a study hall. In the same computer lab my girlfriend was taking Microsoft Office courses. I was also supposed to be helping her, but that teacher thought I was too distracting if I was using down time to play games. So she made me learn C++. While I taught someone else Office. And it was supposed to be my goof off study hall. And I'm a fucking idiot.
