Just confirmed recently, that Milo Yiannopolous, Mike Kern, Mercedes Carrera, Oliver Campbell, and many, many others are reporting that they've been similarly shadowbanned. Pretty much everyone who was a mainstay GGer on Twitter, actually.

It's about time these arrogant cocksuckers find out they don't run the world.

Unfortunately for Twitter, Kern also knows his rights:

Very interested in seeing what comes of this in the next few weeks.

Is very strange because if you use a third party app or Tweetdeck you can actually see their tweets without any problem

Incidentally, Milo is nearly perfectly located to sue the stupid cunts.

Another issue is that their apparent intent to interfere in the upcoming Presidential election may, in fact, constitute illegal campaign donations.

It is not only business-stupid to engage in partisan politics as a mass media outlet, it is also pretty questionable legally.

Got my copy of Fire Emblem Fates early thanks to a friend. Things I can confirm.

1- Lewd outfits are still in. Camillia still rides a wyvern wearing panties, female knights still have thongs ect.
2- Touching minigame is for the most part still in although it's limited to your spouse now.
3- Some very suggestive dialogue regarding sex/incest is still in the game.

So yea. Social justice types are going to be butthurt.

Nuclear butthurt. I'll need to bring back some salt from NeoGAF if this is the case.

They removed enough to weebs angry, but kept enough to makes the SJWs angrier.

I just want to clarify that the petting minigame is completely out. The only thing that is still in the game is tapping the screen or blowing into the microphone to wake up your avatar's spouse. That was also in the Japanese version, and it is completely separate from the petting minigame.

Yea that's what I meant my bad.

Kind of a big difference there, considering the loss of the petting thing was a major thing the weebs took issue with.

Which version is it?

Leigh Alexander wrote a new post on her personal site (no archived link because archive.is is not working for me, don't be afraid to click on the link as Leigh's site is not supported by ad revenue). The TL;DR is that she's resigning from Offworld, not promising to quit writing about vidya altogether but suggesting she'll do so significantly less in the immediate future. Meanwhile, Leigh and Laura Hudson (Leigh's partner in the crime that is Offworld) started a Kickstarter to publish some of the articles that appeared on Offworld in a book form. It's not clear to me if they'll publish all the articles from the site or only a selection of them. Funding goal is $30,000 and as of now they've reached half of that with 29 days to go.

In addition to the main funding goal, there are also three stretch goals:

A full list of the writers whose work will be published in the book is provided on the Kickstarter page and includes such colorful characters as Zoe Quinn and Sarah Nyberg. That's right people, Nyberg might get more than $150 for writing one aritcle for Offworld!

...You know, one of the reasons we constantly have people talk about GG's opposition in conspiratorial tones is because it does shit like this.

So hey, speaking of Twitter being a fucking embarassment. It's been going downhill for a while, with no end in sight, and the usual suspects are making the argument that this is because Twitter has problems with harassment. So it recently established a new "Trust and Safety Council."

Guess who's heading it up?

This makes sense. After all, the userbase is pissed Twitter isn't doing enough to curtail harassment, right?
Surely this will translate to Twitter suddenly becoming financially solvent, an--

....Oh.

I wonder how they're going to try to spin this?

...Oh, right. Obviously, it's Gamergate's fault. Highlights from their thread:

:story::story::story:

So more of the "Twitter has become a complete pile of shit" files, as an account that fucking owns Feminist Frequency in the comments gets suspended for doing so:

You know, when reason.com compared the appointment of FemFreq to Twitter's board of not-trolling to George Orwell, I don't think that the proper response was to prove that shit right, but I suppose that shows just how short-sighted my way of thinking is.

Twitter's gonna die and wants to take Femfreq down with it. So, good job.

NOA wasn't very consistent with this localization.

But tumblr's okay with it even though they'll have deal with gameplay, the bane of vidya SJWs.

The headline is literally true, though. The WP article falsely claims there was a criminal case against Gjoni. That's simply false and that's the kind of statement that is defamatory per se. Even the most casual look at the case would show it was a civil and not a criminal case.

(Cross-thread from manbaby thread.)

Zoe did try to charge Eron with criminal harassment after she vacated the original protective order. Here's Eron himself explaining what happened:

Unfortunately, this is not a Holiday Special. Plaintiff didn't simply drop the underlying charges, but also requested the prosecutor replace them with a different charge. Mass General Laws chapter 265 section 43a. Criminal Harassment. Which is precisely another one of those small handful of laws that has first amendment scholars concerned about the potential for misuse as a First Amendment loophole.

Dropping the pending charges and replacing them with this new one has a pernicious effect. Even though the new charge is based on the same underlying claims, it's technically a different legal issue altogether. Which means, even if the appellate court were to rule that order was invalid, that ruling would (arguably) offer much less relief toward this new charge (depending on the wording, anyway). And since the appellate court's ruling would offer less relief, Wilmer Hale can use that forced change in circumstance to make a stronger argument in favor of mootness with one hand, while actively restricting my speech with the other (my speech would necessarily be "chilled" as the proceedings for this replacement charge are underway). The only way to get the appellate court to also chime in on this replacement charge would be to lose the new charge, then file yet another appeal (which would take yet another year or two).

The recent blog post by Zoe that made a couple of headlines refers to the criminal harassment charges, not to the gag order (which she already vacated earlier during last summer).

Thanks for the info. That is at least somehow positive.

My initial hype for the game died when this constant shitshows about missing features or dialogue changes were revealed, but I tend to blame more Nintendo shitty way of communicate what they did and didn't in the localization. I thought the rubbing mechanic was stupid but should have not eliminated and the "fake lesbian" shit should have been dealt during the original production than post JPN release damage control. Mixed feelings about all this, I just wanted to play a SRPG with waifus.

I will buy in a later date, not day 1 like I did with Awakening.

Correction noted. However, Gjoni was never even arraigned on these charges, let alone actually prosecuted. I suppose it does make it at least arguably a "criminal case" even if it never even started in any real way and was only itself being threatened for harassing purposes.

You know, between shit like this and the Stephanie Guthrie case, I've really been finding myself thankful for the rule of law right about now.

And speaking of assholes, remember that "Stolen" app, that the Antis were fucking apoplectic over? If not, it was a simple little game where you could get trading cards of public Twitter profiles. The Antis went fucking nuclear over it, claiming the game was "problematic" (there's that fucking word again) because of its premise, but not willing to own up to that, they claimed it was "enabling harassment" and "invading privacy" (of a public figure on a publically accessible website). During this kerfluffle, Quinn was one of the most widely-discussed people with issues with the game.

Recently, Stolen re-emerged as "Famous," and with a brand new consultant at its helm:
Zoe Quinn.
