Well, I was ABOUT to post about Airi being on Ornstein and Smough. But she beat it on her second fucking try. What the everliving fuck.
O&S can be a huge coinflip in difficulty, I beat them on my 5th try the first time I played the game but some other times i have spended over 20 when replaying the game, it basically up to if the AI becomes retarded or not a you get free hit on one will the other is stuck behing a pillar and Super Smough is is basically free fight

I think people basically set her up for failure. She was painted as some sort of saviour that came and revolutionized the Vtubing world and that once the chains were off, she would do the same. The only reason she revolutionized the scene is because she pushed against the established rules. Those rules are not really there for her to push back against now. As for her content being the same. Why would she change the formula? There is no reason for her to change unless something big happens.
If we want to be extremely charitable towards her, we could say that her getting that uncanny valley codemiko-like 3D was the one thing you could say she used her creative freedom on.... which ended up with horrifying results and its definitely something Cover would've never let her do.

For all the pushing of boundaries she did in Hololive, its not like she ever went rogue. It was all still things that Hololive let her do. Maybe many of the things that were shot down were bad ideas. So far, her track record while being free is the usual + bad ideas.

What is the deal with this person being in the chat of every single stream ever?

Kinda doesn't help that Hololive is currently easing up and trying to return to how it was in early 2020 outside game/mod permission bullshit. The return of Holosummer, Marine going more promiscuous, the return of cleavage, Ame's 3D projects, AsaKoyo, etc

Me and other people probably feel that Kson left before things started to look up.

one could also say that freedom can come in other forms than just her content changing.
Being able to collab without needing approval, not having a manager scolding her for talking about whatever she likes, not having to jump through corporate hoops for game permissions etc. "freedom" doesn't have mean she wanted to revolutionize her content, it can just mean she didn't want to deal with the baggage and oversight personally.
IIRC the only documented issue they had with her content was because of Asacoco - she had to go through management for each talent she wanted to include (as well as getting approval for each of the skits), probably sucked out most of the fun out of making them. Sadly, I think the things that really hurt her were the lack of support while she was being spammed to hell and back, being ghosted by EN management regarding collabs, not being given the same opportunities as other girls in general, etc. I think "creative differences" was just a sugar-coated pill to ease the transition - the bugmen incident had already robbed her of most of the happiness she could have had there.

Thats really it. All the "creative freedom" shit is just bullshit. She should've never gotten ghosted by management, even giving her a no to a collab would've been better. The reality is that Coco was always going to have to jump through multiple hoops to get collabs because of the bugmen. We will never get confirmation, but it feels like what Fubuki said about the Hololive Alternative trailer and how the Dragon was NOT Coco was probably correct, but they ended up changing their minds when they saw the reaction of the fanbase and maybe even Coco herself.

She was kind of like a Holostars within Hololive. No one was banned from talking to her or collabing, but she had to behave as if she was a penis haver when asking for permissions to collab and everyone that had not already collabed with her was being "protected" or "kept away" for their own safety.

Kson may still be getting some harassment and the bugmen may still be pulling some anthics, like the vshojo translator throwing a tantrum when she joined, but I doubt they spam the chats of the people that collab with Kson. Twitch is also way better at nuking spammers, so that alone helps a lot.

Someone talked about this on another site but Vshojo JP may have to deal with permissions shit since their a corporate entity in Japan now. The main Vshojo group are fine but JP is at risk Japanese permissions autism.
I'm always curious about that. Why are they able to get away from not requesting perms?
Just because they are Western company? Just because they stream on Twitch?
Does having these traits somehow prevent games and music companies from copyright-striking them? For example, why would a draconian company such as Nintendo or Capcom, who hold no bars against Japanese agencies like Hololive, somehow is fine with Vshojo streaming their games?

(This question of mine also extends to indies that are popular enough)

It has to do with differences in copyright law between JP and other places including the US. In addition most western developers see lets plays and vtubers as free advertising, while many JP developers see it as spoiling their game.

>Hololive alternative
The dragon is definitely her. In the full MV of alternative she was with noel and flare which fought the dragon

Iirc the perms system is because of retarded japanese copyright laws that american streamers and companies don't have to follow.
It's the US that is the outlier here, Japan's copyright laws don't really differ from the rest of the world's. The western games industry in general doesn't give a shit though, at least unless you're a corporation.

Also I disagree that they don't have to follow it. Fair use is a defence and has some pretty specific criteria to fullfill before it works
