He's not just blaming the unexpected volume of sales for delaying shipment but more importantly it was his website failing on launch day that created an "unfair advantage" for some buyers.
If only someone could have forseen Day 1 failures of a bespoke e-commerce site and tried to warn him that it could be fatal to the credibility of a startup... I tried.
Edit: I'm still watching but there's some fuckery with his timelines already. He just said that even without the unprecedented demand that this was always going to be a 75-day pre-order and they're only halfway through that. If he was always going to ship to everyone at once instead of on a first-come basis that means late-September was always going to be best-case for beginning fulfillment and he's been lying all along about August.

wow he can't even give an ETA now. That means indefinite.
Which just proves PayPal was right to withhold his funds through thier service as per thier policy & Eric was full of shit from the start to accuse them of stealing his money.
