I find it really manipulative that Keffals mentions his political interest arose at age 14, but then the rest of the article is incredibly vague on how many years have passed between then and the alleged rape.

He mentions some life events occurring in between, but the average reader is not going to know at what point in his life those happened. One might assume he's an adult by this time due to those events, but it's really unclear; what sticks in the reader's mind is the age that he mentions early on.

It's probably just shitty writing, but definitely feels more like a lie of omission.

For what it's worth, the truth of the matter probably lies somewhere in the middle.
