Dave does have a fetish for calling his content "meaningful", cause apparently answering thought provoking questions like "what is your favorite cheese?" while being bad at video games is something for the ages. He used it as an insult to Rich, saying that he's better than him cause the content he makes is meaningful and Rich's content isn't. So sure, he probably does care about his videos in a legacy type way.

No one really presses him on what the fuck he means by meaningful. He might pull something out of his ass like that it makes peoples day better or they were gonna do a 360 Mctwist off the overpass until they saw his great, wonderful content.

But you know that it's meaningful content because it makes him money to pay the bills.

They don't allow simulcasting on competitors' platforms like Youtube, but they allow it for "short form, mobile services, such as TikTok or Instagram Live".
Also lets creators make live content on other platforms (not at the same time), the main thing of this.

This changes nothing for DSP, he does not simulcast, sticks to one platform, and already uploaded his streams to YT once offline, just right after ending.

From my casual observation, there is actually a larger amount than usual of AAA releases between October to mid or late November so they can cash in on a second large spike of sales during Christmas, then there's another one around February-March. Summer is usually very quiet, but yeah there's something coming out every month. Smaller developers particularly try to avoid the hardcore begging season of October and November due to the competition from the big companies. Unfortunately if you're a AAA hype beast like Phail and need those inflated Day 1 Views from AAA games that means that Summers are "slow." For most people the "slow" Summer release window is great because every digital storefront has a massive Summer sale so they can pick up any game they may have missed on playing at a cheaper price.

I'm almost the same age as Phil so I can understand this one. Game companies would release a slew of games in October/November to try to cash in on the Christmas dollar. Infaaaaact did you know SMB2 is actually a reskin of a game called 'Doki Doki Panic', it's true!

What I found weird is that Jasper wasn't in Washington originally. He was from Nebraska or Arkansas or something like that and somehow ended up in Washington. Another thing that was funny was DSP telling us Jasper is a Domestic Shorthaired Tabby... It's a cat, nigga. Unless its like a Siamese or something no one gives a shit about the breed of a cat.

I don't remember the details of how far they had to go but I'm sure it's probably some embellishment he made up or mush brained. Like Jasper's original owners moved to Nebraska and left him behind or something.

Cat breeds are a relatively recent thing and there aren't a whole lot of them. Unless the cat came with papers, no matter how much it might look like a specific breed, it doesn't have a breed. It's just a cat. You don't get a cat equivalent with things like "Labrador mix" on a 3/4 pitbull mutt. That's just a cat descriptor, not a breed. I bet he thinks because it's a long name that must mean he's got a rare unique specimen of cat. It literally means generic cat with short hair and a tabby color pattern.

This is a very Phil-esque behavior, focusing on big titles, made with big money. And with that he's entirely out of touch with modern gaming, just as the same developers he focuses so hard on. Their games suck or are a newly painted version of the exact same game.

So what is his alternative pick during the supposedly slow season? Ass old games, a fucking fishing simulator or anything else nobody ever asked for except this one person 5 years ago. Are you kidding me?

I buy new games all the time, I'd say more than I can actually play. But they're affordable and still really good despite being indie (the horror!). New games come out all the time and I happily support good indie devs even if I have no time to play them.

I could almost swear he deliberately chooses games nobody wants so (A) he can proceed his "Hardcore Gaming Season" narrative, (B) he can cry victim and super poor when the game fails and (C) walkthroughs already exist.

It's funny because there ain't shit coming out for free on xbox for quite a while that's any good. If only there was a platform with multiple different places to purchase games from that had reasonably new games on sale on a pretty regular basis. Alas, such a thing doesn't exist.

One thing that Phil has lost sight of is that he used to return old games once he was done with them. Gamestop isn't exactly giving refunds but I assume he always took store credit and game money stayed game money. Too bad he doesn't keep books. I would be interested to know how much money he's tossed down the drain buying games, rage quitting them and simply deleting them. Going fully digital and not playing pc games were two of his biggest mistakes imo.

Wings' highlight channels are mostly just Richard content. For whatever reason, Phil has a much higher percentage of people needing to insert their own babbling.

Wings' comments have a lot of people wanting them to move on to DSP. Eventually these degenerates will filter in, and they have a lot of time on their hands.

007's method is to do 10-min stream recaps of a given stream with frequent cuts and little input from him. It's not Ludwig or old-school SoK, but it could be worse.
That being said, he won't make a video of a stream if nothing particularly interesting happens, so I reckon we'll get one about once a week of all the questionable shit during the week rolled into one video.
I would also like to say to our Wings immigrants: Don't plan your gayops here. We will laugh at you, if we choose to actually respond to you at all.

I don't really follow Wings but how does his usual content compare to Dave in terms of boringness? DSP is usually so fucking boring and lame I'd be surprised if people coming from other lolcows could even pay attention for any meaningful length of time.

Genuine question I been thinking about for awhile. Why, do you think Phil decided to marry Kat? Just to look like a adult who wasn't failing at everything?

Because, he didn't marry Panda for all those years. Yet, he married this lady he knows nothing about. I can guess somewhat why Kat married him just to have someone pay for her life. Before, you could have told me the reason was to have a live in maid but he complains so much about her cooking and based on how he looks the rest of his home probably isn't being cleaned properly. Also, it doesn't seem like she all that interested in spending time with him unless it's going out to eat.

So what exactly does she do for him? I have to be honest I don't care about how much money he makes that's just going towards gin and pulls. The dynamics of Phil's loveless marriage are way more interesting to me.

Wings' streams are overall even more boring. He's mostly dead silent while playing games, and usually spends an hour now forming teams before he even plays. It's why people don't care if he can't stream anymore, Wings is purely highlight channel watchable only.
