Kiara did her 10 opening anime episode members watch-along today. She wants to get back into watching anime and asked suggestions, watched the first episodes and rated them

1/ Paripi Koumei - 4.5/5
Premise of a Three Kingdom royal isekaing to modern day Japan surprised her the most. Quite liked it and plans to continue.

2/ Recovery of an MMO Junkie - 2/5
As an MMO player she had a lot of problems with it. No plan to continue.

3 A Place Further than the Universe - 4/5
Thought it was really nice. Decided to ask why the protagonist didn't just chart a flight to the Antarctica. Then she got worried about a Titanic situation even though the boat was a designated Icebreaker.

4 Violet Evergarden - 7/5 (lowered it to 5/5 to be fair)
Adored it. Got real weepy. Will continue.

5 SPY×FAMILY - 5/5
Loved it. Will continue.

6 My Next Life as a Villainess - 3/5
If it was a few years ago she would have continued it. It's not her thing anymore.

7 Asobi Asobase 3.5/5
Thought it was bizarre, but quite liked it. It's one of Ame's favorites so naturally Kiara wants to continue it.

8 Odd Taxi 3/5
Slow but intriguing. Not really her style

9 Great Pretender - 3.5/5
Gave it praise for the amount of English it incorporated into it's opening episode. Same intriguing premise as Odd Taxi, but she's far more likely to continue it.

10 Kaguya-Sama - Love Is War 3/5
She was alright with the premise episode but got dismayed that it was just going to keep going like this for three seasons and thought it was exhausting to watch any further.

This is the only one I've seen out of those and it's not an MMO show, it's a romcom that happens to use the MMO as a plot device. It's aight.

I have seen this girl drop a few reds on Blue Boy. Noticed because its weird to see an actual profile picture. Im pretty sure she's an artist.

The best potential alternative I could think of if push came to shove is a new forum, but it'd have to be managed in a way that doesn't spread the conversation across too many subforums. Splitting people up by the particular streamers they watch can encourage tribalfagging and also reduces the discoverability of one of my favourite parts of this thread, people posting fun clips and songs from vtubers I otherwise wouldn't have thought to watch.

I hope Josh is able to hold this place together one way or another. I (obviously) don't see eye to eye with him on everything, but the man has principles and goes out of his way to act in the community's best interests even at great cost and detriment to himself. I respect that a lot.

That happens often with Discords that allow NSFW content. It becomes a spamfest.

The idea of just having 1 random VBulletin forum with 1 thread that is just the Vtuber thread doesnt seem like a bad idea.

Good lord, watching Altare play Minecraft for the first time with some actual degree of competency is so much more satisfying than watching Kiara scream bloody murder at the sight of anything unexpected.
Also one thing that I have to say about him; it's actually really fuckin' nice with how quick he wrangles his chat into line if they put a toe over it.

Don't make a gay backup discord guys- going by things that were leaked from the previous one (V-Toilet or VtoiletHumor, I believe ?) its gonna be a complete shitshow again.
Despite the autist and the terminally online spregs that accelerate this thread to infinity, a discord, /vt/ or even another forum is never gonna compare to this thread. Just pray jersh super secret backup backup works or archive all the things you like from the thread and let it die with the site.

I don’t even want to know what the heck you people were posting. I mean, I am a fan of certain arts and will admit that some are ‘attractive’ or ‘hot’, but the thought of actually doing anything to vtubers disturbs me. It’s like doing something while thinking about a friend, it’s over the line.

Unlike porn stars, these are actual human beings and deserve a little bit of dignity and respect.

Not in the eyes of hentai artists, no. If they look hot or attractive like you said, you can imagine them drawing these vtubers in all sort of positions and fetishes so crude that shadman would be impressed. That's why the vtubers themselves had to take liberty to ignore it or at the very least, segregate them from the majority of their fanbase.

Even then, these kind of stuff can't be stopped due to them Rule 34 and 35 et all.

The thing is, a very active Discord server/channels are hard to follow unless you spen most of the time of the day reading it. It also discouraged discussion. That's why most people who love Discord are either zoomers with too much free time, jobless trannies, or the terminally online

Kiwi is a forum, so unlike most social media these days, its page format made it relatively easy to read and catch-up. There's also the multiquote as well, which are nice

Anything but another forum(Specifically, just one thread) would not work to retain the posting culture or the archiving nature of this thread. Discord being the worst idea out of all. It fails for archiving purposes and also fails as a way of interacting with a community on a daily basis with the ability of catching up at your on pace through the pages.

Imagine trying to catch up on discord to a live watching of a collab.
