R.R.R (Rise, Roar, Revolt) - Godlike pajeet action movie

Finally caught it during the downtime. Very fun.
Great evil whiteys, on par with vintage blaxploitation.
A little disappointed they didn't keep turning up the crazy after evil whitey saw the trap and did flying noscope 360 action, but still great fun to watch with pals

I want a movie that's basically exactly this but with the American Revolution

The closest thing to that in my head is not a movie, but 3DS game where you can play as Abe Lincoln with a mecha called A.B.E. in a Steampunk setting. It's called Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

There was also a fighting game where you could play as British revolutionaries or freedom fighters, sadly I forgot it's name or I'll post the gameplay.

Just saw the movie (and me being the idiot I am, didn't realize till halfway through that the language was set to Portuguese instead of Hindi. XD)

I gotta say, even though it was three hours long, it sure didn't feel like it. Not only was the action really inventive, but the bond between the two heroes was very well done, and the script was really tightly written, which I was not expecting from this sort of film. It managed to combine an efficient screenplay with great performances and action that I was enthralled the whole way through.

So yeah, this is probably my third favorite film of the year so far.

Necro'ing the thread because I found this funny:

Kojima & some others talking about it somewhat makes sense. But what the fuck? The only reason I can think of is that she's somewhat friends with Sunny Leone (unrelated to the film).
Guys check out this based new Netflix movie promoted by literal whores! It's a game changer!

I fell for that with Fury Road. Never again.

The last films of the director had the same effect too. Saw the Baahubali series & didn't realise 5.5 hrs just went past. That said, I'm surprised it even has a Portuguese dub.

I still haven't seen that film fully except some scenes & the ending. I just know it'll suck somehow. The game that came out as a prequel set before the film was great tho.

Fuck yeah, I can watch it in theaters this time.
This one's in OG Telugu too, so you might get a better experience, which means that the mouth flaps will be matching the dialogue for the MCs, but not the Hindi speaking actors (aka Bollywood ones) where's in the Hindi version (the one on Netflix), the characters played by Hindi speaking actors, actually spoke in Hindi in the film, but got dubbed over in the Telugu version.

It won its Oscar for Best Original Song.
SiRRRs, we just can't stop winning.

But seriously, this is unironically the only other deserved award worth giving a shit for apart from Top Gun. Oscars is garbage otherwise. Also, the most sincere & fun award speech I've seen in an award.

Another thing, Nisio Isin, the man behind Monogatari, has a new on-going manga called Cipher Academy. This is from it's 8th chapter.

Brendan Fraiser winning an Oscar was good too.

And it’s crazy how much attention RRR ended up getting.

I watched the movie recently, and while I did really enjoy it, I feel it’s been just a bit too hyped by the Internet. I don’t really have time to go into detail on that but, in short, I think the version of the film I had built in my head by what I’ve heard about the movie online didn’t exactly live up to the movie itself, it’s a phenomenon I’d like to call “the phantom menace effect” (although, duh, of course the movie I had built in my head isn’t going to live up to the reality, it’s something that was uniquely tailored to me)

That being said the movie is pretty strong, aside from somewhat obnoxious “WHITE MAN BAD” shit (which I can somewhat forgive considering it’s a foreign movie), and a few grammatical things that tickled my autism (“the sun never sets on the english empire!” Yeah Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland would like a word with you).

I didn't really see much stuff with Brendan (George of the Jungle is his best film to this day), but I do like him, so I guess there's another good thing.

It's surprising, but at least it's something good that earned it's attention. Imagine something like Wakanda Forever, The Woman King, or some other pozzed shit getting this attention. Hell, Twitter Blacks, alongside Rihanna & MCU's stans & shills dilating about just the song winning.

It's not surprising everyone has a different reaction. IIRC, some guy in the in the unpopular movie opinions thread disliked it too.

That said, about "White Man Bad" thing, you need to realise this is not Hollywood with it's "Wypipo Bad" shit, where the unspoken truth is that being White is a disease to these people & America is now living in a Black Supremacy (Hell, just search the Tems Oscars outfit for a recent example) due to one guy dying from Fentanyl & cop incompetence leading to ghetto hood nigger culture suddenly being appropriated.

RRR has colonialist Brits, these fucks (or as I see on 4chan "benchod basterd bitch sirs") were considered worse than Nazis there, & understandably so too because the film downplays how much of a cunt they were in actual British rule on India to a cartoon Moustache Twirling Villain levels (I recommend the film Sardar Udham for a grounded, realistic take on it).

Despite that, the Brits in this film actually DO the things your usual racism card using Black would say happened to them here. They're literally stealing children, commiting human slavery, treating the countrymen like cattle, public tortures & lynchings, kicking pregnant women in the tummy etc.. That's just shit that happened in the film alone, that kind of shit & worse is actually reported in IRL history so it's not surprising either.

So no wonder they hate Brits, who just happened to be White (but not American White). Why won't they when they have all the reason to go "Whiteys Bad" in their scenario.

TL;DR - The film isn't anti-white, it's Anti-British.

I do admit that "English Empire" thing is weird, but I do have a theory that it's because the Britoids here are such smug cunts, they just consider themselves to be all of the English, kinda like a Master Race thing. This doesn't surprise me, cause they do actually think that way, there's a very good reason we have films like Braveheart & The Patriot.

Or it could just be that pajeets can’t into English, Occam’s razor and all that. Besides I doubt pajeets have that deep of an understanding of England’s relation to the other parts of the UK

Pajeets? No, but the director of RRR is a massive Mel Gibson fanboy, he's his favourite director. In other words, he might have ripped it off Braveheart & The Patriot.

Or you could just be right, & I'm just looking too much into it.

It didn't bother me then, but beside the time when the Brits caused a massive famine due to diverting all resources to a war, was there anything equitable? A ton of practices in India were barbaric and the Brits at least tried to put an end to them.

There's way more apparently. Most of the shit showed in the film actually did happen (slavery, public lynchings, etc.). But there's some other issues too.

As you said yourself, the farmlands being fucked, cause Winston Churchill basically caused a lot of famines. There's the Bengal Famine, where growing too much wheat to feed British soldiers led to the farms getting fucked so much that nothing could grow on it, leading to around 3 million Indians starving to death. They were also fucked due to extreme opium farming by Winston Churchill to get deals with China.

>The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. Look up Reginald Dyer.
>Indians forced to make Darjeeling Tea cause Brits drink tea like water.
>Less than 6% literacy rate (surprising they even had that to begin with).
>28% Life expectancy
>40 million Indians killed
>40 trillion (in modern day rates) stolen. Which led to a nation which once made up around 27% of World's GDP, to a 3rd world shithole in crippling poverty.

That said, the movie does say that not ALL of them are bad. Jenny's character shows that there were kind ones too, & Indians responded to their kindness favourably without spite or desire for revenge. It also shows that Indians were fighting against their brutality, not the people themselves.

Even in the song that won Oscar, the girls didn't mind them being there, the girl who got the drink spilled on was calm about some Brown guy doing it to her, the girls didn't mind 2 Indian guys dancing, & even guys didn't care at the end cause they just became competitive about the dance. Thinking about it now, it's only Alison Doody's character who's the only Brit female cunty towards the Indians.

One more thing, Indians definitely were also a reason in a way Brits stayed for that long, Despite the Brits stopping some of their bullshit practices, majority of their "good deeds" (English education, architecture, governing systems etc.) were mainly diplomatic strategies to loot resources & control them enough to make them slaves. While Indians were too lazy & oversmart with their politics that fucked up their country even more by their own hands.

Fuck, now I feel like a shill.
