It's true, though, and really male means XY and female means XX, important these days when we pretend that you can become a "woman" by just saying so. ASD occurs more often in males than females, though, because a number of genes relating to it are on the X chromosome and males, having only one, don't have another "good" copy to fill in if the only one they have is defective.
(And also for the social bias reason that males are more likely to be diagnosed with it for the same behavior that is disregarded in females.)
