Yeah I only ever go here to lurk and research someone I barely know about, but that cloudflare blog post is one of the most heartwarming things I've seen online since these modern culture wars started -- I didn't think there was a single damn company that had the balls anymore to come out and make such a clear "nope not a chance in hell we're going to cave to the mob" statement; I especially liked the straightforward reference to the idea that "we made that mistake twice in the past and we don't intend to do that again" ["after we saw how governments refer to those incidents to try to get us to do it more"].

The quote tweets for CloudFlare's statement are a riot of seething.

A lot of them take the part where CloudFlare says they remove sites hosted by them down for harassment and doxing and conflate it with customers, like us, who are not hosted by CloudFlare and just use their security services.
