That Metal Thread

Which one?
idk, I like Goniloc (F) and Radio Free Innsmouth (weeb, but alright). Hipster Black Metal is alright if you're a bit edgy.
There's one more that I'm blanking on, which probably just means he's also stopped posting.

Oh, and Black Metal Promotions is awesome.
Ah, the one that was posted here:

Thanks for the recs, hopefully I'll discover some good new albums

Any recs for decent YouTube channels about metal in general regardless of genre? Asking here so I can avoid channels like that dipshit that was posted a while back, thanks lads.

SOLITUDE PRODUCTIONS runs a 24/7 radio, mostly for anything Doom Metal related.

666MrDoom - everything Doom/Stoner Metal

b4keve00 for everything that is Black Metal underground. The channel has slowed down a lot but is still worth checking out.

Captain Beefart for everything that is Psychedelic (Rock).

For more Black and Death Metal (and edgy stuff): Cosmic Hammer

DEATH FETISH for all the weird psychedelic Black Metal stuff that Black Magick SS has started.

Dot Dot Dot - Death and Black Metal and a lot of obscure bands

More Psychedelic Rock stuff: Eternal

Grindwar Channel: Grindcore, Death Metal, Crust/Punk

Harakiri Diat: everything Punk, Psychedelic and obscure

HeavyStonerDoomBlues - the name says it

John Smith - no new uploads anymore but lots of old Heavy Metal albums and gems from the 70s/80s

MrStonerBeliever and MrStonerBeliever2 - both dead but lots of Doom/Stoner stuff

Mao da Gloria - Underground Black Metal

NewWareOfOldSchoolThrashMetal - Thrash Metal

No Gleaming Light - Black Metal, Death Metal, Crust/Punk

NoPunksInK-Town - Death Metal, Grind, Crust/Punk

NoFunNoMoshNoCoreNoTrends - Death/Black/Thrash Metal

NotesFromTheUnderground - all sorts of Underground Metal

NWOTHM - Heavy Metal

ObeyTheRiff - Doom/Stoner/Psychedelic (dead but still a good channel for digging)

OdiumNostrum - Death/Black Metal (if you like DEATHSPELL OMEGA you will find a lot of DSO inspired bands there)

Rare & Obscure Metal Archives - well, lots of rare and obscure old metal stuff. One of the best channels out there.

ROB HAMMER - Doom/Stoner/Psychedelic

Stoner & Doom - dead

TheBongDruidOfMammothWeedMountain - dead (Stoner & Doom)

ThePsyFrost - obscure underground Black Metal stuff

Underrated Albums - Not really Metal related but lots of obscure bands. So fucking awesome.

Veterans Of The Psych Wars - More obscure and psychedelic stuff. And the guy behind it wears a tin hat and sometimes starts to rants about politics in the comments and his channel community section. Hilarious.

Legendary list. Already enjoying the psych wars guy.

So this is what Candlemass sounds like these days? I skipped a few of their later career albums so I dunno if this is in line with their last couple releases or not, but man. So riffless and uneventful.
Worth noting that I see this Greek guy doing this cartoon music video shit for so many bands now and it fucking sucks. No idea who gave that the green light to begin with. This is especially heartbreaking because Candlemass’s later albums up until The Door to Doom are actually genuinely fucking good. Johan just doesn’t have the energy he had on Epicus and sounds like any other singer now. And one last thing is that these self referential titles like “Scandinavian Gods” and “The Door to Doom” are never not retarded bar Epicus because it was more of a statement. Just listen to Atlantean Kodex and Crypt Sermon instead man.

Recently ventured into meatspace, touched grass, and saw Elder, Ruby the Hatchet, and Dreadnought in concert. Though they only played four songs, Dreadnought was the highlight for me; jazzy progressive metal with female vocals, shades of Cynic and Atheist.

Dreadnought's very nice lead singer was (wo)manning the merch table, and I ended up picking up some shirts and their as-of-yet unreleased album, "The Endless." Highly recommend it, with "Liminal Veil" as the best cut of the album.
Nice! I'm loving the vocalist for Dreadnought myself.

Don't think I ever saw these guys posted here before. These guys were apparently the first Suffocation rip-off Slam Death band to put out a recording, but nowadays they play this unique blend of Prog-Slam Death metal. Despite the weird genre it's easily some of the best metal I've listened to in years, so be sure to give them a shot.
