When you posted this, I thought, "What if... what if... they've grabbed a 20# propane tank that's normally used for a bbq grill, and nigger-rigged it to connect to the stove?" Then I dismissed the idea because I underestimated their idiocy/lunacy. Sigh.
I think one of the initial problems with their stove (and possible factor in them repeatedly melting knobs off of it) was that it was very much a not-designed-for-propane stove that they said fuckit and jury-rigged up for that anyways. I remember a lot of horrified amusement here in the thread about that when someone noticed it.

So what's just a little more fuckery?

Get gifted $100K in GoFundMe gibz. Blow it all on foolish whims, leaving nothing for the absolutely essential need that is the propane supply for cooking and heating in a harsh environment.

Also, in the same time frame, many plastic toys are bought by Kevryn at prices that -- added up -- would easily pay for the propane tank to be filled.

You know, part of the deep lore of Phil (according to Phil, at any rate) is that he was a brilliant financial genius who leveraged the world financial market and was fabulously successful (albeit functionally illiterate) until he realized that it was all but a hollow achievement. After he had this revelation on the road to dumbasscus, he proceeded to burn down his old life and build back better by embracing HRT, self-mutilation, and animal hoarding of both the two- and four-legged types.

It's crazy, I know, but given the current dilemma I'm starting to wonder if Phil may have exaggerated his financial acumen. But would a troon lie to us to so outrageously about his bona fides?

I should know by now to always look at the details of any photo the tranch posts, but all the talk of jerry-rigging prompted me to zoom in a bit closer on that cylinder, and it's worse than anything I could have imagined. They''ve even managed to fuck up on the simple idea of connecting the regulator to the tank. This is basic safety, stuff, but instead of getting a regulator that fits and simply screwing it on, they've bodged it up with copper tube. 10mm copper tube, to be precise, the sort that's designed to be easy to bend by hand. And all totally unsupported and just flapping around in the breeze. Just what you want when livestock are wandering around all the time. Can't wait for that stress fracture. Probably won't be too long either, since they've picked out a bit of pre-weakened copper pipe with a couple of huge gashes in it.

And they wonder why we keep laughing at them. The rest of the plumbing looks a bit ready for replacement too, but that's a maintenance thing, not a being a fuck witted troon thing.

Huh, that... sure is something. It's currently the start of September; how's that already weakened metal gonna fare in a proper subzero howling Colorado blizzard?

Also remember we are pretty sure they are running their stove with the incorrect jets (the default natural gas ones instead of the propane ones that often come with the stove and can easily be swapped). This is likely why their power burner setting produces a wok surrounding hellfire and they have melted off their oven knobs. But remember it's a bad design on LGs part not Tranch incompetence. This will deplete the new little tank even faster.

Please hide this shit in Dox tags, they are reading this thread and might fix it, delaying the inevitable tranch fire.

Aside from like, a gas leak, do you think worse shit could happen ?
I wouldn't dare proposing some shit like an explosion, but i remembering reading about sudden gas release from volcanic lakes having devastating effects on nearby flora & fauna, and while there's not much gas, i wonder if we could see some shit like a nearby alpaca getting knocked out

No idea where they scavenged that piece of trashed copper tube, but as you pointed out it's a) covered in gashes, and b) old and brittle, which means it's inevitably going to crack open with any movement on it. I'd bet dollars to donuts that a soap bubble test would show that the entire array is leaking LP gas like a sieve.

Minor power level: Years ago we needed to have a propane line installed between the tank and the house (newly built). I actually had a coil of about 75 feet of exactly the right size copper line that I had picked up somewhere, brand new. Except it was a couple years old by the time the new line needed to be installed. It turned out that in my state, by law, the installer could not use my copper because it had already aged and turned brittle. The installer demonstrated how, by just starting to straighten out the coils, the copper line was continually creasing and kinking. Which it wouldn't have if it was fresh from the supply store.

Could the DIY stove conversion have been a cause for tank removal? It's been a while since I lived anywhere requiring a propane tank for heat, but I recall there being pretty stiff regulations, and if they discover you're being unsafe in any way they'll cut you off. Seems obvious that the 24/7 access excuse was exactly that - an easy excuse - to get a huge explosion liability off of their hands.

Any problems they have aren't gonna be in the tank, they're going to be in the lines once that copper tubing starts leaking air into the flow

You always want your hydrocarbon fuels to be at a fixed fuel-air ratio otherwise you get things like incomplete burns, flaring etc

For example let's say air starts leaking in and they're running the stove; the flow from one minute to the next will vary in fuel/air ratio, so one minute it's burning clean, next there's not enough fuel and some of the propane isn't burnt and escapes into the room, it's probably not gonna build up enough for an explosion but it's a huge wastage.
The real issue is how thier heating system is set up, if they have a basement furnace there's nowhere really for this to dissipitate and it's down there with their shitty inverters we could be looking at a stray spark causing a bang, especially since they've apparently recently flooded said basement

TL:DR we need a proper layout to determine what's going on

Of all the things i was expecting the "The Troon Ranch fucking blows up" arc was really not on my bingo list but you know what ?
I'm down for it as long as the alpacas are safe. I mean at this point it could even be a better fate for them

I don't know when you jumped into the thread but around the first 6 months the thread was up there was much talk about their electrical set up and how their clown show tier wiring could spark one hell of a fire. When the new stove was placed in, people commented on the power consumption as well as the burner types and how that could end in tears. I guess "Fire" isn't the same as "fireball explosion", but considering the burrito night gases everything was liable to turn into a fireball imo.

This is why I assumed they were melting the knobs off. Gas dryers can melt themselves, too, if they're improperly installed without the restrictor valve on the gas line. It's a $10 part and super easy to put on, so of course they don't have it on there.
