Just look how fast almost the entirety of finance and banking moved from London to New York during WWI.

Yet people think it'll take a decade for China to build an alternative financial system.

A single well placed device will cripple a power/water plant, maybe destroy it permanently. Rebuilding a power/water plant can take years, and lots of resources. On top of that, you usually don't have rows of power/water plants right next to each other able to pick up some slack during the repair/rebuild.

The ROI on infrastructure attacks heavily favors the distributed rural networks.

Transformers are the really vulnerable target. They can be fucked up through shrapnel. Production of new ones is pretty slow and it can't be ramped up quickly. There are also substations everywhere and most are completely un-monitored. They also look cool when they go up.

Another one that really worries the government is how easy it is to derail trains. Just a few mins to weld a funny shaped piece of steel to the tracks is all it takes. Virtually all truly essential stuff - coal, chemicals, bulk raw materials - is shipped by rail.

According to the wise men of Twatter and Plebbit the FBI didn't find any top secret nuclear codes because Trump already sold them to China/Russia/Israel. So the fact those folders are empty just proves that Trump is an extra huge traitor!

I will power level a bit: I live(d) in the midwest and deer are a goddamn infestation in the middle of Illinois, Indiana and Missouri. You wouldn't have to worry about numbers but whether the meat is clean. Illinois had the Zombie deer issue a couple of years ago, and a hunting buddy of mine says that you still find a sizable number of infected deer.
What would likely happen is some dumb city slicker kills a deer, and either doesn't prepare it correctly and gets poisoned or gets an infected deer and ends up dying from any number of horrible side-effects eating tainted meat gives you.
That, or they will start eating cats, dogs and rats if the countryside is too dangerous.
