You addressed this to me but I don't know. I think the number of pets would plummet to near extinction. If you have a cat or a parrot or a dog, best hide him.

I personally wouldn't imagine you'd see that with wild animals because of a combination of two factors. One - any crisis severe enough to drive people from their homes in search of food, would also be a crisis severe enough that there'd be major shortages. Two, America is vast. People aren't going to be able to trudge through all that wilderness on foot and chase deer out of all the areas they can take refuge in. Yes, there's the Persistence Hunter take on human evolution but modern urbanites are barely capable of a twenty mile hike along roads. Deer don't need roads.

That meme could work to lower unemployment numbers since there will be a need for more people to fill in the work hours lost, though I expect the same people employed to work the same hours anyway. I’m sure companies would just decide to eat the overtime cost and lay some people off to afford it if whatever government bill deciding that 30 hours is the standard for an honest work week has more regulatory fluff in it that makes it harder and more expensive to do anything especially when it comes to raw materials.

Employing two people to work twenty hours each costs substantially more than one person to work forty hours. In my industry I can't count the number of jobs I've seen that really ought to be more people working fewer hours, but that's not what the employers want. And even if they did skill shortages mean when you find that precious individual who can do the job they squeeze him he's the only one available. So yes, you're right - even if a bill were passed there'd be a lot of incentive to try and work around it.

Maximum work weeks are like nuclear disarmament. It only works if everybody agrees to do it. The government would have to provide some kind of subsidies to make it work at which point you have the full time employees paying for the part timers to sit around juggling their bollocks.

There needs to be a category of crime where the punishments are only imprisonment and cannot be financial. As it is, even if they get convictions the fines will just be offset with slush funds. Odd thing about optics (the kind with light, not gay PR) is that if you put a red object under blue light, it will look black as it doesn't reflect any blue wavelengths. The reverse is also true.

I mean, the actual J6 protest was hardly a violent insurrection. A group of unarmed protestors strolling through capitol building and holding a *gasp* prayer session on the floor. Sure, there was a guy who kept yelling at everyone else to smash the glass cabinets and start fires but he turned out to be a BLM speaker and CNN guest. Hell, most of the people didn't even KNOW they were trespassing since the grounds were normally a public area and feds removed the no entrance signs; and the capitol building guards opened the door for them.

Really, the J6 protest comes down to whether or not the election was legit. If it was then the protestors were at most misguided. But if there was significant fraud (which we now know was the case) then holding a few prayers and a guy in moose horns carrying around the podium is the most peaceful and civilised response you could possibly ask for.

Your only valid point is fertilizer and that's only needed because farmers are providing for the cities and export market.
Rifling is being done at home with ecm, and older farm equipment is bulletproof (figuratively) and can be repaired with a welder and basic metal shop.
Your next hangup would be getting raw metal, but, at least at first, landfills and scrap yards are a thing.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of this fren but nearly all farming, industry, and production is Republican majority. Hell, even a huge chunk distribution is republican-leaning (e.g. the “white” Asian shop owners that antifa is allowed to commit as many hate crimes against as they deem necessary.)

I already mentioned land exploitation and manufacturing. Blue Merica won’t exploit and really dont have manufacturing capability they just consoom and import unless you count designing then importing the finished product from China as manufacturing.

In any war between Army’s (yes the red states will have army’s they aren’t going to be militias running around willy nilly but insurgents will be around I expect blue militias infighting in their territory for the UN aid) the means to produce and get that shit everywhere where is needed is what tends to decide the winner and looking how divided Blue America is they won’t have the proper means to support a war effort unless they decide to Hail Mary with whatever nuclear Arsenal they have under command.
