Someone should look into archival media to permanently preserve the Farms. If you think about Kiwifarms from a historical perspective, it's an incredibly useful snapshot of 2013-2022 internet culture and to a degree politics and daily life. Remember, some of the most useful sources for historians are diaries of various people since it gives a view into ordinary life.

If/when this site goes down for good, then I will probably keep a copy of this website from Null's torrent and transfer it to some sort of archival disk. I would also love to see physically printed books of threads, dispersed to libraries around the world, just for additional security. There's something about the way this site was attacked and will eventually be destroyed that bothers me beyond belief to the point I'd pay money just to have this website preserved forever, to the point where thousands of years from now people could theoretically access this place.

Clearly the answer is to create a wordfilter for all of the usual fedposting words.

Yeah... change a couple of fedposting words to something ridiculous - say "French kiss" or "poop" or something equally crazy - and the glowposts will become both hilariously mock worthy and obvious at the same time.

It's a shame there's no way for compromised accounts from the last leak to be redirected in some way. Unfortunately, the bad actors who use such compromised accounts always seem to know how to circumvent such efforts.

At least we're still up and running for now, and Dear Leader's recent post sounds hopeful. Let's focus on the positives.

Furthermore, you're forgetting that the main instigator of all this is now in Europe, so 1A doesn't apply to him. It doesn't matter that he's doing it on an American site

First, you got a lot of holes: "You conspired with unknown person to DDoS me. That's a crime." Hmm, judge is gonna laugh when it's a conspiracy of unknowns. The tort is obvious and I guess civil conspiracy is much the same as criminal conspiracy, but you're gonna have trouble with the holes other than you don't know much of what happened other than someone did it.
Second, it's like printing the Anarchist Cookbook and distributing it to people who you suspect are anarchists who will use it to commit serious crimes isn't gonna be a clear enough conspiracy to commit those crimes when weighed against the most fundamental of rights in the country.
I'm sure this list could go on for a dozen more reasons that Josh's lawyers have already considered, because I'm pretty sure he's kept them apprised of all this.

Really for the criminal conspiracy what you'd need to get are some federal agents and prosecutors looking into this (it'll always be feds since it'll be cross state lines cyber crimes), but you're not going to find them since the politics aren't right. Even if they wanted to, I doubt they'd get the appropriate warrants and subpoenas and whatnot to investigate... actually, nah, I take that back, judges today are pretty bad in protecting basic rights from feds. Maybe they would (IF it got looked at). And maybe because Keffals' audience consists of a lot of 12 year olds they'd actually find an idiot culprit: someone who proudly proclaimed what they were gonna do somewhere then did it without covering any tracks and then further bragged about doing it. Still, I don't think it'll end up being conspiracy anyone is nailed on, even if in a colloquial sense we know they're clearly conspiring.


As far as Europe goes, and I thought of it in passing -- sure, if you're finding the right lawyers in the right countries, maybe their stricter laws will apply, but I cannot even remotely attest to that. That sounds like it could be plausible (assuming the politics fit -- like Ireland has someone in jail right now whose ONLY CRIME was knowingly "misgendering" a student, so I don't think there's any way in hell they'd consider going after Keffals&Co.)

In the US the judge is going to (or at least should) laugh at you and insult you and then make you pay their attorney's fees if you attempted something like this, and unfortunately I think their pockets will be found to be deeper atm.
