I didn't watch the video (before I could pause it I laughed because of course it started off with a trademarked "Ummm" from the dunce) because Hasan's dumb enough that I'm afraid that my brain cells will go all Jonestown on me for listening to him, but the comments on that video are pretty funny. A few of them are trying to do some weird mini-intervention thing on one guy who just said that Hasan is wrong about the Josh/the Farms and how "people there (here) aren't his friends" as if people here are promoting a cult.

Because he's someone that many on the Right like, and despite him being on Fox he does kind of "get" certain issues and has more of a populist approach than many of the other people on his station.
Yes, for the reason I stated above. I doubt they've ever watched an entire segment, but they "know" he's a fascist white supremacist because some streamer said so while pausing 40 times to watch 30 seconds of a clip.
As much as someone like Hannity has a TV audience that is pretty old, Carlson does have some sway with the younger people who don't even have cable but whose only Fox News consumption are his segments on Youtube. There's that and also using "Fox News" as a punch line is pretty engrained in the culture. I can remember, here in Canada even, 15 years ago people would do the same thing and often it was because Jon Stewart would do so. A lot of Hasan types will claim things like "the Right only has two jokes" (I assume those are supposed to be something about racism or sexism,) but are then the same types who say that almost any political view that they don't like is from Fox News and that if you share that view then you must have absorbed it from your 12 hours of daily Fox News viewing. The people who sit all day watching political streams get really eager to accuse others of regurgitating views from talking heads.
I'm not even trying to simp for Fox since I think all of these big stations are shit in their own ways, but to many of these people Fox was their "Nazis" before Trump was their "Voldemort" when it comes to insane overreactions.
