To be fair thats what you want as a creator, if none of your guests move on or surpass you it means you were shit with a shit legacy. Dangerfield is so well known because he used his minor fame to help out friends and younger talent who would go on to praise him while becoming superstars in their own right. plus usually you keep good relations with them so that when you're in need of a helping hand you'll have hundreds of people willing to give you a job or money.
when you look at who dick can get on the show now vs who stopped giving him the time of day, its clear he's someone you earn your wings with before you move on to better things, its a lot like cumia, his podcast network used to be home to almost every successful comedy podcast in New york, but he's in a tiny house in NC now because he burned so many bridges and especially couldn't get these clearly talented people to stick around.

The fact that his income has gone down over the pandemic is pretty bad for an digital content creator, but I still don’t understand how it’s so high for a podcast with no rankings and no fan engagement. If the pandemic has buoyed his Patreon, where is the engagement? TDS has 3 iTunes reviews from 2022.

thats such a weird thing too because Null gave him all the chances and allowed himself to be clown on and openly took the whippings Dick had Ethan give him. people much earlier in the thread theorized as much, patreon's 8% cut (5 for the site, 3 for CC processing) would be worth getting to gloat and big dick about his amazing patreon at least in his mind. his meager lifestyle made it plausible too, his income was over triple what the average household income was for his area, plus his lack of extravagant spending meant something wasn't adding up, i think even his trucks were bare bones stock.
the only evidence i have to the contrary is that it would have been accounted for on his graphtreon, although people have theorized about dummy accounts as well,
