Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

Dude it's just a sanitary thing because the vast majority of men have terrible hyrgine and would legit be pushing smegma into the underage girls they are already going to rape.

Anyone against circumcision is dumb because if you want hot Americans (best country.) or Westerns, that's the only way.

Edgerunners was released two weeks ago

In case you don't want to sit through five hours of weebery:

David, the Jesse Pinkmanesque antihero, is a straight-A student who immigrated with his single mother from Latin America and commits murders we are supposed to overlook. He spends the entire show in his mom's bright yellow EMT jacket to fit the Cyberpunk 2077 branding.

Anyway, our diversity-honor-student-turned-gangster is in a love triangle with Molly from Neuromancer and a creepy Japanese loli knockoff of Harley Quinn. Much of the story involves a stereotypical crew of mystery meat criminals doing jobs for a guy voiced by the actor who played Gus Fring -- and getting killed off, one by one. The big plot point is that people get so obsessed with body modification that it leads to (I hate this word) "cyberpsychosis," which makes them try to shoot everything in sight. And they explain away the early-1990s concept by saying a super-hacker destroyed the internet, so that's why they don't use it.

so after 2 years did they actually fix the game? is it another no mans sky/rainbow 6/unity situation?
I'm around 13 hours into a fresh install, new game, no mods. I've run into six bugs, one of which I had to Google to get out of (apparently common enough that there's posts about it), and a really badly developed quest feature that I also had to Google to figure out.

Nothing has broken my game yet... (the quest one wanted to), but idk, it's still quite a bit of bugs. I can't imagine what the game was like before.

I noticed the subreddit, specifically called CyperpunkGame, is filled with dudes jerking off over that white haired chick, from the anime. If the jannies had any value they'd ban posts not related to the fucking game, since there's a general Cyberpunk and general anime subreddit, but they're all masturbating over the cosplay girls too.

I hate to say it, but you are 100% right. It's that or cosplay as her in game.
I have not seen the anime (and pretty much refuse to out of spite at all the mods that have popped up on the Nexus as a result of it), so as far as I am concerned the little murderloli met a well-deserved end like all murderlolis deserve and besides, I play a BroV because Panam is best girl.

That Iconic shotgun of Rebecca's you can snag in-game is pretty damn fun though, even if its recoil means you're not hitting your target a second time. But you probably won't need to.
I might dig stealth more if it didn't feel kind of wonky and artificial.
Stealth is definitely weird, and the highly obvious vision cones don't help. Especially since with high stealth you can just crouch there in the middle of an open room and watch that awareness box just tick up as the guy starts wondering if that person-shaped thing in front of him is an intruder. Don't even need a cardboard box or darkness for it. Its a pretty terrible system.

Cyberpsychosis has been a concept since the 80s Tabletop RPG. Its a multi-attribute condition thats attributed to shitty cyberware installation, a society that doesn't give a fuck and well yeah general living conditions.

Also the internet blowing up happened after 2020.

I don't think David and his mom emigrated. Santo Domingo is one of the districts in Night City, no?

What’s the most fun/dynamic way to play now that the game isn’t completely fragged?
I played 3 ways - shotgun wielding hacker, sniper with hacking and blades, gorilla with hammer and machine gun. First one is better. You have hacking for money and quick non lethal damage and you have a shotgun, with which it's fun to play if things gone haywire

Any recommendations on cyberware and stat distributions? I would assume gorilla arms if only because they nullify a lot of body requirements for weapons.

20 int, 20 body, 8 equilibrium, 18 tech, the rest in reaction. Or you can don't touch reaction and blow another 2 points either in equilibrium or tech. And cold blooded is required. Tech not for the crafting but for armour rating. abilities - those are up to you

I discovered that after I wrote that. The Japanese writers didn't know how to write woke, so the entire issue of him being Hispanic is dropped after the second episode. The only memorable white male in the entire show is a minor character, Falco, the getaway driver with the 'stache. (I wanted "Rock Me Amadeus" in the soundtrack with that name.)

How ominous.
Its actually more fun/interesting then just the internet blew up and relates to Lucy backstory. The virus the savant net runner unleashed unlocked all the computer systems in the world....included the ones that hosted a bunch of Corpos/ Army AI that were on locked down. So a bunch of rogue AI's just got free and started ripping up any net runner they ran into force the net to be separated into wild and "safe" zones. The AI have seemed to have made a hazy "truce" were they stay on their side and we stay on ours but will gladly kill any one they find in the "old" net.

most fun I suggest using pistols, shotguns or rifles cuz of how satisfying they are.
you could also try some of the melee implants but I mostly go for the monowires cuz I could at least deal some nice damage without being in kissing distance.
Hacking is hella OP n makes the game much easier but it quickly gets old for me.

I recommend testing out everything and finding what feels good n fun, once you find what u like u can dump all the skills n attributes on em.
cuz just from the nature of RPG games its sort of more challenging to have a shit build lol.

If this update does what I think it did by lessening the body requirement for snipers, I'm gonna be salty. I could've been triple 20s if it wasn't for that dumb decision.

Had a good time at release, but kinda fell off because of optimization issues

Started a new game and I've been mostly doing netrunning/stealth. Pistol/shotgun when I'm forced to fight.

Fun game. I enjoy it a lot.

Pretty nice to be able to walk right past guards after I reboot their optics and they're blind or quickhacking someone in a gun fight and watching them burn to death.

Side quests feel like The Witcher 3, substantive and unique.

Definitely a few bugs this time around, but only one that's required reloading a save. Mostly they've just been entertaining and not game breaking.

Ha ha, no. O'Five will need 20 Body because fuck you. They took away scopes from tech precision rifles and it feels like they upped the charge sway on Widowmaker. The Nekomata has gone from useless to borderline useless with the decreased sway, which is the only positive I can think of for anyone wanting to snipe.
