In case you don't want to sit through five hours of weebery:
David, the Jesse Pinkmanesque antihero, is a straight-A student who immigrated with his single mother from Latin America and commits murders we are supposed to overlook. He spends the entire show in his mom's bright yellow EMT jacket to fit the Cyberpunk 2077 branding.
Anyway, our diversity-honor-student-turned-gangster is in a love triangle with Molly from Neuromancer and a creepy Japanese loli knockoff of Harley Quinn. Much of the story involves a stereotypical crew of mystery meat criminals doing jobs for a guy voiced by the actor who played Gus Fring -- and getting killed off, one by one. The big plot point is that people get so obsessed with body modification that it leads to (I hate this word) "cyberpsychosis," which makes them try to shoot everything in sight. And they explain away the early-1990s concept by saying a super-hacker destroyed the internet, so that's why they don't use it.
