Cutting off funding is another way to block a message, since money is one of the few things that can cut through censorship if you have enough of it and without it, you're relegated to fringe platforms. The trouble is they're deplatforming so many people that the normies are (slowly) starting to migrate as well. Soon those fringe platforms won't be so "fringe."Cutting off funding isn't the point. The point is to limit the chance that normies will stumble into your content and "become radicalized"
This is why you always assume you will be standing alone against the angry mob and plan accordingly. It's important that when you "pull tough guy shit," you have the ability and willingness to follow through with it, corporate protection be damned. These people are essentially a feral pack, by and large they aren't very smart and they all hate each other. However if you try to pull tough guy shit corporations will not protect you from the mob. Ever.
Ty Beard is not an attorney I would want anywhere near this case, because I would like it to have at least some chance of success and that fat fuck has proven himself to be lazy and utterly incompetent. There's a possibility Ken Paxton will sue for him. HB 20 is in effect and Nick has connections. Ty Beard had a Texas state senator working for him.
