This movie looks completely awful and all its going to do is damage the chance of more movies with female casts that aren't garbage chick flicks.
It comes across as a parody to me, a very bad one.Somehow this movie looks more cartoonish than the original cartoon.
Which I don't know is good or bad. I only know that the black chick certainly is not good and just one bucket of KFC away from being a stereotype.
Congrats, Hollywood. You tried to make the Ghostbusters relevant for feminists. And at the same time created probably one of the most racist haracters of 2016.
And as a bit of an unpopular opinion: I think Ghostbusters is a well made humorous action movie with an awesome cast, clever writing and awesome effects. It is not a good comedy though.

you know the cartoon isn't original right?
Also, Filmation Ghostbusters taught us all about the importance of saying no to drugs by assaulting drug dealers, so they're alright in my book.
its just a movie lol
Well, you are a film critic right?
It could also work if Peter decided to make the Ghostbusters a franchise and branched it out to other cities (where this all-female team comes from). That way they can have their own identity. The world's smartest, at that.
Also, I'm one of those fegs who thought the idea of a female Ghostbusters team actually looked alright on paper (because it's been a long time since the last movie and why the hell not). It's just that something like that would need writing that isn't shit, Aykroyd/Murray/Hudson in at least supporting roles, actually being funny and moving the lore (for lack of a better term) forward. And most importantly, to not be so fucking proud of itself that it's an all-female Ghostbusters team.
Here you go...Tenma san ga Yuku, that Japanese semi-legit mostly-Ghostbusters series was fun for the few eps I saw.
Also how did the old Ghostbusters trailers look in comparison?
Just took a look at the trailer, and now I know why I'm going to hate this movie. Not because of the all female cast (which could have worked, emphasis on the "Could have" part). But because of what it really is- a shitty, unfunny cash grab that easily could have been made by Happy Madison. About the only part that almost got a chuckle out of me is the "Power of pain compels you!" part. That's it. Everything else about the trailer looks stupid and the CGI looks like it's on the level of R.I.P.D. (Points to those who even know about that movie).
Also, I'd be lying if I didn't say I liked some of the designs of the Filmation series and Extreme ghosts more than I did the DiC series or films.
No actually, I did not. I wateched the trailer sans Joe commentary.well someone watched the reaction video by Angry Joe
