We pretty immediately polled and once his words, verbatim, were presented to Independents the man went from ~54% approval (he's a relative unknown, this number is surprisingly on the high end) to roundabouts... 5. 12 in heavily blue areas.

I'm not saying it's not toxic, but I can't see it being less toxic than consistent inflation and border security. It seems like it's not the crucial issue for independents if they choose to vote, but hopefully I'm wrong, because as much as I think Herschel Walker or Brian Kemp are unfit, Abrams or Warnock winning is way worse

The thing that's really boggling my mind about this recent full term abortion push is that it seems a large chunk of leftists support it. I've seen a lot of bleating about a "national abortion ban", when all I've seen is that post 15 week ban. I assumed it was typical lefty ignorance, but as far as I can tell they know it's only a 15 week ban and they consider that unjust.

I just don't understand what the fuck happened to these people. Not even a decade ago I remember first trimester abortions being the talking point, that's what people wanted. I remember when leftists would say abortion at any point was Republican slander. Now a lot of those same people, including some of our own leftys, are saying all or nothing.

I just don't understand how these people operate. Were they always secretly aiming for this? Do they simply have no principles and fight for whatever current thing? Do they all have no self awareness? No long term memory from too much weed? It's fucking crazy.

There's also been a lot of weird discrepancies in polling, especially at RCP. Brian Kemp is up by like 10 points on Stacey Abrams, but Warnock and Walker are neck-and-neck. RCP also predicted R's would retake Arizona, despite saying in the same chart that Mark Kelly has a sizeable leg up.

The split-ticket voter seems like an endangered species in this day and age.
