Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

What was retarded about it?
Please break it down zoom by zoom for us since you like replying to it so much and aren't buttfrustratedly trying to dissemble your way out of this at all.
You claimed game updates were DLC, and that NMS made money as a result of this "DLC". By the same cock mouthed definition, your pet studio CDP did that exact thing themselves. One had you pissing blood, the other had you stroking off.

I said they made more money over the marketing/dev cycle (by keeping the product in the market, in case you need me to draw a diagram of how products can be exchanged for money btw just ask) of slowly implementing content that they'd lied about implementing than they did from the initial preorder scam.

Which is literally true so let that be your heuristic for puzzling out this zoomer hellraiser cube you've fallen into. It's something like $70 million versus $100+ million btw, I haven't looked it up recently.

Just admit that you're too young to remember when "downloadable" was the exciting part of the phrase "downloadable content" and too fucking dumb to realise that the "Paid DLC" construction you all had to use might imply that there's such a thing as "DLC". And if you're not too full of cum, maybe look up all the old blogposts and shit where Hello Games and everyone else refers to the updates as DLC because that's how the before-people talked in the long-long-ago of 2018.

By the same cock mouthed definition, your pet studio CDP did that exact thing themselves.
whoah there lemme refer you back to this cool colour-coded guide i made for you:
If you have to keep adding or removing words from what I literally said to convince yourself you didn't fuck up maybe you're just a dumb faggot
you'd have to edit my post again to get to that conclusion since the subject of criticism was the redemption arc narrative, not that the idea that fixing your game is bad, genius.
btw reddit don't try and use this to deflect the subject

I've asked you to cover two subjects. Two more than you're capable of handling.

"My people". Lmao.
(a) I'm not obligated to do anything just because you make pissbaby demands about it.
(b) You're obviously only doing so as a deflection.
(c) I did already respond, and it's not really worth further discussion since you just repeated yourself and didn't actually form a cogent point anyway.
(d) You're a dumb little bitch with zero credibility at this point anyway, with the kind of twitter-brain that makes people think the only reason someone would do such a thing as call them a faggot is because they're unspeakably angry, somehow, even though you're a farms poopsocker and shouldn't think "u mad" is going to stick when someone's flaming you for your limp-wristed call out. You flaming dipshit.
(e) You're obviously only doing so as a deflection.

I'm busy today so I've labeled these points as a convenience that we can refer back to when you continue to repeat the same gay tactics.
Also,
(f) Yes, that was a joke.

Speaking of a chromosome abundance:

Some youtuber made a 90 minute act to act comparison between 2077 and Edgerunners.

Yes, i watched it all. He makes some good points, some not so good points but the thing i didn't expect from it is how the point by point breakdown made me appreciate the story and themes of 2077 more and i kind of think less of Edgerunners now (though i never thought it was exceptionally good as some people made it out to be).

There's so many good themes and ideas in 2077 like how technology literally consumes the persons soul (brain) and how the "engrams" are not a work around to death despite how much characters lie to themselves about it. You have crazy killer AI. The theme of a mans desperation as his dreams of being the best are met with a very real and constant reminder of his mortality. Some of the characters aren't too bad either. The reinforcement of how alone a person trully is in Nightcity and how there are no saviors. Yet CDPR fumbled it so fucking hard. If they had just gone with a shorter 15-20 hour experience, similar to a Mass Effect and Deus Ex and only kept the most interesting side-content but otherwise stayed focused on V's path and went with David Bowie Silverhand instead of Keanu Silverhand it could have been pretty fucking good.

Then with edgerunners it's so cliche and standard anime it's hard to fuck it up. The characters are either one note or follow standard archetypes. The whole portion with Mane's and later David's crew really play like a somewhat incompetent DnD party and the ending is good though somewhat rushed.

Two specific things i want to pluck from the video.

1. He mentioned how it's a missed opportunity of having the Corpo ending actually save V but he becomes just another corporate puppet, potentially even just replacing Adam Smasher which he killed. Which would really be an excellent dystopian and cyberpunk ending. Killing the man to save the body.

2. He mentioned that it's been all but confirmed that the game underwent huge rewrites to accommodate Keanu as a main Protagonist. Now as far as i'm aware those claims never made it out of rumor status. Does anyone have more information on that?

The two things I remember off the top of my head was early footage having snippes of radio news reports saying that Johnny Silverhand died in his 90's recently to the games events, and that there was some sort of "idol" system to character creation where you could pick between Johnny, Morgan Blackhand and maybe Saburo as figures your character idolized growing up, making it seem like he was not going to be *the* central figure to the game.

if i had to guess, those were gonna be in the original engrams until they decided to go all in on keanu

though keanu wouldve been a better morgan blackhand than silverhand but im not a polish game developer

I would bet money they gave Keanu his pick of who he wanted to be and he picked Silverhand because he thinks being a rockstar is cooler.

I've already mentioned how all the "legends" are garbage tier OCs, but Blackhand is probably the least bad one. He's a special forces guy from the US Military who became a solo and periodically bounced between working for the US Government and Militech when he wasn't doing solo work. He's also a well regarded author who literally wrote the book on how to be a solo.

He's not over the top and certainly not lore breaking like Silverhand or Smasher. They periodically sprinkle hints in the game that Morgan is still alive so i assume he's gonna make some appearance in the DLC. So thank fuck Keanu didn't play Blackhand. Maybe an actually capable voice actor can give him a semi-cool portrayal, Michael Ironside in an ideal world but who knows.

The whole engram shit was probably introduced pretty late. I remember in the earliest confirmed build to have existed (there was even leaked video of it) you would play a detective looking into Cyberpsychosis, probably uncovering a conspiracy at some point. There were also rumors that there was a build where you played a MaxTac but that probably just came from the original teaser trailer, no MaxTac build was ever confirmed or leaked and if it ever was built, CDPR probably figured it would be too similar to Deus Ex.

I always thought playing a rookie TraumaTeam member would be a great, mission focused game. Start on lower tier insurance packages until you have missions with multiple recover ops fighting like crazy to get to.

Even without the bugs the game was pretty mediocre. There are some side quests I really enjoyed, namely the Peralez's and River's, but the main story after act 1 is hot garbage

I think the main story could have worked a lot better if we never took the chip back from Jackie and Silverhand is in his head and we have to watch our friend go schitzo.

Another plus is we wouldn't have to hear Keanu's awful voice acting.
