Except for those two litters who were born into that mess..forgot about that didn’t you polly
I refuse to be that person who
I swear to god, she's like those animal hoarders where they find the mummufied cat under the sofa or something. Too many to take care of, too many to count.I refuse to be that person whodumps[responsibly rehomes at least some of some of] the animals Icare for[have hoarded and repeated admitted I cannot afford to care for].
Wow, Pissa. You absolute saint, you. I'm just so touched and impressed by the way you go without in order to keep your animals happy, fed and cared for. Oh, wait....
I... I really want you to be saying that this cat got an emotional support pet. Oh my God, could you imagine? Like a little rat?!If it's like the one in my area, they won't deny you. We do biweekly packages (delivery or you can shop at the pantry) and allow a once a month package of staples and pet food if you demonstrate need, like if your income is extremely low.
My kid and his wife have a cat that's got some kind of nervous condition from wherever he was before he was rescued. He used to chew on his tail and yowl at night. They tried the pheromone things but they didn't work at all. The only thing that helped was getting him some kitty Prozac and a little buddy to distract him.
lol No, the vet actually suggested a younger cat might help him (he's around 7). They adopted a 2 year old girl cat and they adore each other. They snuggle and groom each other which seems to have really calmed the older cat down. Unfortunately, they don't know what may have happened to him before they adopted him but he's doing really well now.I... I really want you to be saying that this cat got an emotional support pet. OT but I keep suggesting to my other half that we get the dog a dog so that he calms down around other dogs when we are out and about. Hasn't worked so far but I live in hope.I... Ended up getting a kitten friend for my weirdo cat after his previous friend passed, because he wasn't doing well by himself. It seems to have helped him remarkably.lol No, the vet actually suggested a younger cat might help him (he's around 7). They adopted a 2 year old girl cat and they adore each other. I see in her latest desperation tweets that she she's barely mentioned the snake, if at all. I still lcan't help wondering what it's eating if it's not going after the other creatures in the residence, or if it's too lethargic to hunt down food. #FreedomForStarvingSnakes

to be fair, snakes eat like once every few weeks, and feeder rats/mice are really cheap. reptiles are expensive to set up (cage, heat lamps, the cost of actually buying the animal, etc), and vet bills are astronomical if things go wrong, but if things go right they aren't terribly expensive to keep. i just hope she's feeding the snake frozen rodents instead of live ones and keeps the setup stable and away from the cats. if that snake gets sick, you better believe she'll be begging for money to put it down, because she just will not be able to pay the vet bills. #SaveSalazarI see in her latest desperation tweets that she she's barely mentioned the snake, if at all. Don't talk to my emotional support cat or my emotional support cat's emotional support rat ever again.I... I really want you to be saying that this cat got an emotional support pet. Oh my God, could you imagine? Like a little rat?!
Polissa is doing the Quiverfull thing, but with cats. Quantity over quality and nobody gets enough food or attention. At least she can't parentify a 10-year-old cat into raising the younger ones and running the house.Meanwhile I only remember most of Polissa's cats names because half of them were named after the Addams Family. I can only distinguish Shadow because she has (or is supposed to wear) the diaper, I know Gomez has the chronic UTIs but cannot remember what he looks like off the top of my head, I only recognize Pepe because he's the only outdoor cat...
Of course, Polissa can't make social media friendly clips and pics of her cats, because they're obviously living in squalor. Any window into how Polissa lives and keeps her animals will create a flurry of people begging her to rehome them. For what it's worth I don't think Polissa is keeping the animals as a grift. If that was the case she could reasonably keep 1 or 2 and get more donations than she's getting now. I'm sure she hoards animals because she likes feeling needed and getting no strings attached affection. As hard as it is to give up pets, someone that actually loved them would have given them to good homes a long time ago.The pet twitter is just another avenue for her begging. She seldom posts pictures or videos of the cats when she bothers to update. Go to your regular cat lady twitter and most of the posts will be the cats being cute. As @Angry New Ager once said, you get a feel of the cats as individuals if you follow them after awhile. That or recognize them pretty easily. Jungle's cats include a ginger named Lion O (like the Thundercats character) and a mom/daughter flamepoint duo named Crystal and Pearl. They regularly do things like chase after laserpointers, groom each other, or claim Amazon boxes as their own. Jungle's cat twitter is genuinely comfy.
Kinda like how cheetahs in captivity are sometimes given a dog friend. (Yes, really, it's adorable). Or like racehorses; the phrase "get your goat" originates from the practice of giving a nervous Thoroughbred an emotional support goat.Entirely off topic, but this can pretty much be a thing and it's adorable.
Image isn't mine. My rats have long since gone over the rainbow bridge. Damn their short little lifespans.

My big weirdo cat, with his one little brain cell, decided that my guinea pigs (since gone over the rainbow bridge) were his "kittens". They were always very closely supervised, but he'd wash them, hang out with them, tried to scruff them like kittens.
Unless I'm being retarded (which is extremely likely) the AirWick looking things are actually those cat pheromone diffusers that are meant to stop cats getting stressed and aggressive (so they don't fight each other and piss up the walls, etc).
They don't smell of anything afaik, it's just for the cats. They do work under certain circumstances (such as moving home, when cats are likely to get unsettled) but I don't know if Pissa thinks that far ahead so I'll assume she thinks it'll stop the cats fighting. You know what stops cats fighting? Not having eleven of the little bastards in a cramped smelly house would be a good start.
