Chris-Chan: A Comprehensive History

I think if Chris had not shitty parents he would have been a moderately productive member of society. He wouldn't have been a doctor or software designer but if he had any sort of work ethic, I could picture him doing some mindless data entry job. He would be the office weirdo who is a brony neckbeard but would at least contribute to society.

His parents didn't the opposite of how parents should raise their kid, like it was some kind of fucked up psychological experiment. They taught him to be helpless and because he's autistic the world owes him. I hate to victim blame but Barb caught what almost 40 years of coddling and manipulating will do to a child.
i believe children with autism often dont get things that normative people, growing up, can ''simply get''
think of it as if whatever universal mass consciousness is present in the world that people pick up on even if they're not taught, autists just dont have access to it, meaning even if theyre capable of picking on things a normative person would, youd never know unless you took on the task of introducing it to them
i think its likely that his parents simply thought he's incapable, because they never believed in him or taught him to BE capable, and then it was too late and they kinda feel like they were proven right

its a self fulfilling prophecy

Damn. I thought, like others, Bob tried with the Dream Studio.

If Chris didn't have his delusions, and this coupled with how the Manchester High Gal Pals weren't really friends with him, Chris would've killed himself.

if Chris' life really is comparable to some kinda grand piece of fiction, then this twitter e-whining saga must be the part where the series goes kinda stale and the writers start phoning it in
the ''zombie'' era if you will
before they decide to try and garner interest back by unleashing the weird season finale that is the Barb-fuckening scenario

That's what I believe Borb's mainstreaming was. It was an experiment to see if Chris, given his shortcomings would manage in the real world, and it failed. The first thing Borb should have taught Chris is boundaries and proper respect for authority.
I think Barb especially had a short fuse with Chris getting into trouble and just screamed at him not to do things. Which in turn, lead to Chris thinking that getting told "no" was a punishment rather than a lesson. If he could find a way to work around it, then he wouldn't get screamed at, rather than taught why something he was doing was bad. Sort of like how Chris doesn't train his dogs, but instead, goes absolutely bananas, yelling and stomping his feet to get them to stop barking.
I feel Bob was delusional thinking that Chris would be successful in even community college.
I wonder about that too, but by the time Chris was in college, Bob was really old. Given that there's a strong theory that Barb was attracted to Bob because he had smart kids, that Barb saw that as a meal ticket, and wouldn't take no for an answer that Chris was tarded, thus pushing Bob to get Chris into some kind of position where he could make money so they (Barb) could live comfortably. She had to know Bob was going to croak well before her, and wanted to wring as much comfort out of him as possible before that.

For all we know, Bob had discussed getting Chris into some job like sorting glass at a recycling center after the Wendy's fiasco, something his skills showed he could do, only for Barb for lose her shit like she has a habit of, and Bob, being old, just capitulated. Meanwhile, Chris is upstairs, singing along to nonsense on cartoons, completely oblivious to the discussion.
Bob and Barb had a like 1930's idea of mental health and figured chris would get locked up if they tried to "get help". Granted in the 80s and 90s there wasn't much available.
I don't buy that. His elementary school had autistic kids, and there plenty of autistic kids that weren't just shoved into a loony bin. What's more likely, is that Chris would have needed classes where Bob or Barb, at the time, both working, would have had to get him there. Remember when he was hitching rides with that Hispanic dude to get to speech classes?

I think he honestly would have thought about self termination if he really sat down, put aside his delusions, and took stock at how his life really is. That's why I'm holding out hope that the position Chris is in now, might just jar him into some sort of more or less decent outlook on life.

Never thought about it like that. You've brought up good points. For all we know Barb could have been pushing back against Bob's attempts to get Chris productive?

Bob and Barb don't seem the type to be all that interested in what Chris was up to at school unless he was getting in trouble. I could be wrong, but neither seem the type to go to parent-teacher meetings or the like. The two didn't seem to stray too far from their house and I don't think either had much of a social life outside of running errands or ripping Chris to the mall and back when he needed drives. I'm honestly shocked they got Chris to focus long enough to get his permit and licence.
I do remember the speech therapy, but I thought that was ancient christory, as in when he was still a kid-kid and not that verbal because of the 'tism?

Not school related, but the first and only time Borb had something for Chris to do to be productive was enroll him in Cub Scouts. IIRC, Chris' stint there was short, and Bob tried to sue the organization.

You wouldn't be wrong about Borb's going to PTMs. After years on fighting schools and other organizations, I think Borb became paranoid and decided to leave Chris out of such things until he went to HS.

The only evidence of Borb and Chris in school would be picture in the CWCki of them in his classes. Maybe they were there because it was Chris b-day and wanted to boost his ego?

I'm not a psychologist or anything but probably the worst thing you can do for an autistic is shelter them. That's why Chris has such bizarre way of talking and acting. Autists don't know how to act socially and Chris didn't have any friends or peers. So instead of trying to conform to the norms of a friend group, he imitated the mannerisms of his elderly parents and what he saw on TV. That's why I think he flails around like a cartoon character in his videos. We all know the reason Chris "transitioned" was because in his fucked up brain he thought it would get him pussy. I think another component is the only IRL friends Chris had were women. Chris's brain interpreted the way the women around him acted as the way he should act. That's probably why he acted like such a fruit even before the tomgirl saga.

Wait, Borb tried to sue the cub scouts? I've never heard that bit of lore before.
How Bob and Barb treated Chris is a real headscratcher. They somehow managed to both be completely overbearing and inattentive to what Chris needed to be an actual, functional member of society.
Who knows? But I do remember seeing pics of Bob or Barb in chris' school with him. Hell, Bob or Barb could have been there to drop off payment to the galpals?

Sped ed and parents who understand what they are dealing with better would have made all the difference. Chris was always more disfunctional than disabled and tbh growing up isolated with two geriatric paranoid nuts like Bob and Barb would have stunted even Neurotypical kids..

Me neither but one thing that is for sure is that Bob and Barb always protected Chris from people who "wronged" him or didn't accept him for being slow in the minds. They wanted him to fit in regular people thinking it will help him grow out of it then get professional help. It's like they had the disillusion that their son was not retarded, they did not want to deal with that fact.

Instead it taught Chris that he's the victim and people are out to kick the autistic.

I wonder if they threaten to sue wendy's when he got fired.

It seems like they really clung to that "high functioning" part, and maybe for a time, Chris actually WAS high-functioning, but by the time he was giving Curse-ya-hami-ha's and channeling Sonichu at PVCC he might have been beyond "saving". Not to armchair diagnose, but with how delusional and paranoid Chris was toward the tail end of the golden years I almost think he might have schizophrenia.
Bob should have cut the internet down after the bluespike fiasco, but whoo knows? Barb might have insisted they keep it because chris was griftingg weens... Not so much during the bluespike saga though. Chris should have got actual professional help, not just what the court or PVCC ordered him to undergo. Maybe he wouldn't have porked Barb?

I've thought about this too. Bob knew of the trolls and how Chris keeps engaging with them, thus brining more trouble. This was shown when Bob saw the house tour and freaked out because he thought the county would condemn 14 BLC because of the hoarding (that right there should've been the obvious wake up call to clean up that shithole; it's like witnessing an addict for x amount of years and finally confronting the problem with an intervention). Borb didn't have much use for the net, except for paying bills; it was pretty much Chris who consumed the internet. Bob should have cut it off, or at least limit Chris from using it: "no internet until you run 5 laps around the house."

I know the common statement/argument is "Bob was too old to do anything". But I feel he had at least the power to call the ISP and just tell them to cease services with a note not to install it under Chris' name/restrict making an account for Chris.

That probably would have been for the best in the long run looking back. I don't think Bob would have had to call the ISP to get them to deny Chris. I'm sure after he chose to get legos, ponies and vidya instead of paying his bill for a couple months, he'd get disconnected for non-pay, not pay his final bill; then get sent to collections and probably barred from opening more accounts because of a shit credit score and a history of nonpayment of bills.
Come to think of it how was he paying his cellphone? Did he get one of those free Obama phones?

I think via his laptop/app on the phone. Chris has two iPhones, in which he fashioned a case made of duct tape so it looks like a notebook. TBH, it was one of the very few times, where Chris' creativity ended up working for him.

Apologies for the large image; it was the only one I can find.

Bob was a very physical/worldly person. He always thought about things concretely and liked physical possessions (he collected stamps and records, he wanted to build things with Chris, etc). So while he understood that the internet was bad and where people trolled Chris, he still linked it to the Megan and Game Place, things he could physically interact with. He probably believed that even if he cut the internet down, that the trolls would continue to harass Chris in the real world.

I feel as if Bob just gave up between Barb threatening to kill herself and Chris being Chris. He did what he could but did not have the energy to do what was necessary. This is shown when he handed the phone to Barb when Chris was on the phone with the trolls in the middle of the night and Chris called for them to get on. He didn’t have the patience.

Oh Bob definitely did give up as well. He was an old man when Chris was born, and only got older and less capable of handling an almost 30 year old tard. But before that, Bob pretty directly stated that he thought the Game Place was behind all the trolling and that there was a grand conspiracy to mess with Chris online and in person.

A lot of extreme loners will talk to themselves as humans are very social creatures. It's a way to cope. Only difference he likes to say he's special and actually tell people about it. Like his eyes are very subtle different colors. I mean very subtle. He thinks it's what makes him more special and important then you or I.

Only he cut it before the trolls and got professional help. Once he got the trolls attention it was over. They would feed into his disillusions and make him do stupid shit like destroying his ps3, buying gift cards, taking embarrassing videos and pictures. As long they interact with his disillusion, the better. Of course he also wised up a tiny bit. But if you could get his attention with either anime or get his duck hard, you had a chance to exploit him by feeding into his bull shit.

Oh 100%. It wasn't long after that that he got kicked out of the game place. I can't recall if Megan washed her hands of him before or after his spat with Walsh. It was all downhill from there and Chris only seemed to get worse year after year from that point.

Maybe he might just be a weirdo loner sperg, but Chris mentioning getting attacked and throwing a conditioner bottle at the phase sonichu that attacked him in the most recent video, and the imaginary marriages that he swears the Captain saw one of... Most Scitzos have Jesus delusions, Chris being a sonic autist probably drawn him to his own universe delusions. It could have all just been a larp to try to grift money or get people to leave him alone. You'll go mad trying to figure out why Chris does what he does.

Chris didn't wise up to every loser that messaged him nonsense about stealing sonichu, being a boyfriend free girl, or random offer to develop sonichu shit until after he was done and dusted with idea guys, but at that point I think all his shit was being curated through Jewsh and a select group of handlers that ended up fucking him over in the end so how much did he really learn? No I don't think Bella or the Prator clowns ''forced'' Chris to have sex with Borb, I think he did it of his own free will because he's got very few inhibitions if he thinks he won't get in trouble.
